Wallace is an inventor and Gromit is his faithful dog and - truth be known - the real brains behind the outfit. The movie sees them enjoying a big success with their humane pest control set-up named, amusingly, Anti-Pesto. The reason for the boom in business is the approaching annual Giant Vegetable Competition.

Trouble threatens the competition when a huge and mysterious creature begins to attack and gobble down the town’s prized vegetable plots. Lady Campanula Tottington (Helena Bonham Carter), the competition’s kind and compassionate hostess, enlists the help of Wallace and Gromit.

Not so likable is the proud, pompous and penniless aristocrat, Lord Victor Quartermaine (Ralph Fiennes) whose heartless solution to the problem is to shoot the marauding monster – and, at the same time, he believes, win Lady Tottington’s hand in marriage. To save the competition, the reluctant Lady Tottington is forced to allow Victor to carry out his plan…unless Wallace and Gromit can solve the mystery of the vegie chomping beastie!

I really enjoyed this film. It is light-hearted and funny, and just as entertaining as the Wallace & Grommit shorter films. Helena Bonham Carter and Ralph Fiennes were excellent additions to the cast, even though their clay comrades were not quite shaped to reflect their human counterparts.

Wallace and Gromit - The Curse of the Were-Rabbit is a delightful movie and was well worth watching. I am still looking forward to seeing my favourites, the Jonathan Creek series.

Having never seen the TV show I was a bit dubious about this film. What a surprise to discover a clever, funny and original cartoon filled with pop culture references and aimed at people of all ages. Highly recommended.

Brilliant. Wallace and Gromit are really funny in this bigger budget movie. Doesn't have the same home-made aspect that the originals had but still makes you chuckle.

Lovable, bumbling inventor Wallace and his loyal sidekick Grommit return to us in a feature length story about a plague of rabbits that threaten the local Annual Giant Vegetable Competition. Wallace has started a new business; Anti-pesto, that the locals use to keep rodent critters under control to protect their precious growing vegetables. What we don't know is that it's not just the vegetables that grow to enormous size - the Supernatural Curse of the Were Rabbit means that a Giant Rabbit runs amok in the town. This film is a fun romp. Wallace has his eye on a lady, and is his usual lovable but geeky self, and again, it's up to Grommit to save the day. What's a doggie to do but what a doggie do -es Perhaps not as "cutting" as previous W & G instalments, this film is sheer fun. The Aardman Team again prove themsleves masters of claymation, and the sets and lighting are terrfic.

Lots of cultural references, and a lot of the same story as before - technology gone wrong, Gromit saving the day. But still lots of fun and laughs. Our 3yo son must have watched it at least 30 times, which means we watched it maybe 10 times or more and it didn't wear thin.

Really disappointing. I think these guys should stick to the short film format - none of the feature film stuff has had the charm or quirkiness of "A Grand Day Out" and "The Wrong Trousers". This effort seems laboured in comparison. Still worth a look.

a classic Wallace and Gromit! not to be missed if you are a fan, but there are many repetitions from 'a grand day out' and 'the wrong trousers' in case you have wathced those less than a year ago

This movie is brilliant for young and old alike. My partner and I could not stop laughing! The plot is simple but amusing, the voices were well done and the clay figurines were fantastic. The popular Wallace and Gromit have started a pest control business "anti-pesto" combine that with Wallace's brilliant array of weird and wonderful inventions and hilarity and mayhem ensues! There are heaps of behind the scenes and futurities and that are very interesting to view - making of the figurines and sets etc. Definitely not to be missed!
