Inspired by a true story, The Vow is the tale of a love that refuses to be forgotten. Leo (Channing Tatum) is devastated when a car accident plunges his wife Paige (Rachel McAdams) into a deep coma. She miraculously recovers – but the last five years of her memories have vanished.
Leo suddenly finds himself married to a stranger who can’t remember anything about him. Naively, Paige falls back under the influence of her controlling parents (Sam Neill and Jessica Lange) and reconnects with her ex-fiancé (Scott Speedman). Desperately, Leo tries to recreate the moments that shaped their romance. Can he rekindle the passion before he loses Paige forever?

A very sweet and realistic love story - and pleased to find it was inspired by a real couple. Great to watch if you're feeling a little down and need a bit of a sob.

Slow, wouldn't recommend unless you really had nothing else to do and like the slow pace of storyline.

Absolutly loved it. Not as sad as the Notebook (what it kept getting compared to) Channing, YUMMY!, Rachel, beautiful! Not the ending i was hoping for though.

Loved The Notebook that she also appeared in. Also Jessica McNamee was a good choice for her sister as they are so muh alike.

A nice movie which is sad and frustrating at times but makes you think how you would react if you or your partner had amnesia. The women's family are not supportive of the couples relationship so you feel the husband is out on his own in his struggle.

Great story especially since it is based on true story. Rachel McAdams almost typecast in to the role but still a good watch. I can't stand Channing Tatum and his mumbling, but I thought this was the best acting i've ever seen him do. I'd even watch this movie again sometime in the future. I enjoyed it.

The three stars are courtesy of my wife. I would have only given it two. When they say its "inspired" by a true story, it's only that. It's not a factual re-enactment. Story aside, I felt the script was poor, the acting under-done, & the characters very weak. Wow, I sound like a movie critic. That's what unlimited DVD's on Quickflix does to you. Anyway, it's probably an ok chic flick. Guys, you might want to watch the cricket.

This was a beautiful heartfelt movie of strengh and commitment on Channing Tatum's part. Most would have given up and excepted the facts. Most woman would have wanted to be the one he turned to, I know I did.

I think I'm getting old and expecting too much, so many stories are too predictable. Will have to read info more carefully before I put them on the list. This was ok, just not for me. 2 and a half stars. I think someone who likes goofy love stories will love this.

Channing Tatum is a brilliant dancer (Step Up, Magic Mike), but not so crash hot a serious actor. (Although I found 21 Jump Street hilarious) The two leading actor’s didn’t appear to work well together. However, the story is beautiful but I couldn't get past the bad acting... :(

I was very disappointed with this movie as I saw the real couple on Dr Phil that the story was based on and expected it to be similar to their story. Usually film makers take a real story and add drama that never happened to make it more interesting for the view but this was just the opposite. The real person it was based on had to wear nappies and learn to talk as well and only couldn't remember approximately the last 14 months which was when she me her husband. Also the car crash was way worse than depicted.

I thought that this was going to be an overly romantic, slushy movie after seeing the preview - it was actually much better than that! The story felt genuine, no cheesiness etc. The actors were great and really sucked you into the story. I guess it is a chick flick, but not a sickeningly slushy one! Pleasantly surprised!

As with many 'true' stories this has an average storyline but it is well acted and a touching if sometimes frustrating feel to it. Go into it knowing the outline and you won't be disappointed, we enjoyed it very much.

Did Melzy and Smelliott know that this movie is based on a true strory. I saw it with my two teenage daughters at the movies and enjoyed it.. I have just put it on my queue so my husband can see it. The hospital part, where she thinks she is married to an ex-boyfriend, is true to the real couple it is based on and also the dating and him getting frustrated with her. Good for a drama/love story.

Its true .. channing is mesmerising ... but not really thought out well plot wise ... and leaves an open ending which I HATE ... If you want a half assed film cos you have nothing left to put in your queue then this is the movie for you lol

One of the worst chick flicks I've seen. There's a lack of conviction in the acting and plot that just seem to make it drag with no purpose in mind. I saw more of Channing Tatum's abs than I did of anything truly convincing. The story is a fascinating one, but for me the acting felt forced and immature.
