The funniest film in recent history. Pure comedy you don't find in films anymore..
This is the funniest movie I have ever seen. It has everything from fart jokes to subtle wit; the more often you watch it the more jokes you'll find. Jean Reno is so sexy as the 'noble' knight.
Despite being the highest grossing movie in French history, the French do drama and romance a whole lot better than comedy, and The Visiters is a perfect example. Slow to start and only slightly warms up with a small dose of slapstick to a very dull end. The cinematography was out of the 60's which further detracts from the movie. As an ardent Jean Reno fan, I was very disappointed in the role he played and his acting.
The movie was great if you want to read a movie.
don't really like sub titles and story line a bit old.
I thoroughly enjoyed this even though it had subtitles
An excellent film. Full of humour.
On occasions the movie became overly silly, however Jean Reno was great
If you wish to have a warm and enjoyable evening and lots of laughter then, this is the movie to choose, even though the story is predictable but with outstanding peformances..... is a must to see
Very funny, but the start is a bit slow... worth waiting for...
This movie and its sequel sadly have many flaws. The main problem is Christian Clavier (Jacquouille). He is even worse in the sequel and dominates it revoltingly and mercilessly.
However, Jean Reno's character makes it worth sitting through the silly bits of both movies.
I particularly loved Godefroy's hatred of 'accursed troubador boxes' in the sequel, and of course, his noble affections for his descendents in both movies.
Childish humour, too many absurd situations. A bad imitation of the Monty Python films. I didn't even finish watching it.
This is a very, very funny movie. A must see for anyone who enjoys a laugh. Subtitles do not take away from the movie at all. Make the effort.
It's in Frech with English subtitles, so you don't have to put up with dubbing.
A very well put together movie with genuine moments of pure comedy, with great performances. I literally was in stitches!
Great French humour - and fabulous performances especially by Jean Reno.
It was a farce, therefore it was over the top. It had its funny moments. definately worth a look but only if you like farcical humour.
This is a very funny movie. Don't worry about the French, you can easily follow whats happening.(there are subtitles)
