Very heavy handed over the top film. Poor characterisation of lead and supporting characters. More about paranoia and psychosis than TV as a separate life-form. Storyline not that well developed.

A classic of Cronenberg's catalogue, and the horror/sci-fi genre. Weird and creepy, and an eerily accurate comment on contemporary media (given the film is about 30 years old).

What the???????????? Very strange movie that one. Worth watching to see the visual effects which I haven't seen the like of any where else, but it's a bit confusing trying to follow it. The ending could have gone a bit further as well. Just seems to leave you hanging when it finishes.

Salvador Dali would be proud of Cronenberg's style. Long live the new flesh.

Now this is how horror should be made!! Reaching for the depths of the human spirit and taking the darkness that is there into the forefront of the mind! Excellent performances and a total mind twister.
