In the foothills of northern China a long procession is winding its way through the hills. Fu Manchu and his daughter, Lin Tang, are returning to their ancestral place, and one of their first tasks on arrival is to rid themselves of possible enemies in the region and cut off all roads leading through the mountains. Then Fu Manchu can devote himself to his primary task - the setting up of an international hierarchy of world criminals.

Another 'ripping yarns' Fu Manch movie where the hero, Nayland Smith, pulls off the rare trick of being a much more obnoxious 'chap' than any of the bad guys. Sure, we have executions, torture chambers, villainous leering at victims etc, but it's all a bit twee really. Yawn.
