Love this movie I t so funny the dog Drag is funny it is a good movie
in many ways a simple story but very well done. No wonder they have such a big reputation
This was a delightful film and I really appreciated the extras about the film.
Really nice family movie. Even teenager was unable to resist liking it!
Really really good movie!
I really liked the balance of moving adult material and the fun kids stuff. This is definitely one that I'd recommend to people of all ages. Plus, the main character reminds me of Scorsese!
Loved it.. Thought it was a Gorgeous Movie!
Whole family enjoyed this movie.
Best Pixar movie since Toy Story. I sobbed and laughed throughout. Surprised at how emotional the storyline is. Just beautiful. And no usual Disney "there has to be a moral" nonsense.
Wonderfully poignant and funny.
I saw this one on the big screen when it came out and loved it. Watched it again on DVD and loved it second time around. The characters are very real and I found myself really relating to Carl and Ellie. This must have been the first kids movie that made me cry - and then laugh out loud the next minute. 4/5 only because it is probably not suited to younger children, but I think once my kids are a bit older they will appreciate it too.
Up was an enjoyable movie. Light hearted and fun, recommend watching of all ages.
Dreams are best share with friends....human and animal.
I am sure the grandchildren would have enjoyed it, we would not get it again for ourselves but certainly for when the kids are here, for this reason I would give this moviw 4 stars
Fabulous. Get it. Don't hesitate. Get it!!!!! Wish I had seen it earlier!
Fantastic movie. Has all you would want as either a kid or adult. From beginning to end a classic.
Very colourful and fun for all the family.
Saw the previews at the movies could not wait to see it, loved it very well thought out
Really enjoyed this movie, it was not quite what I expected but I really enjoyed it
Not the greatest animation, but one for the family
Yes Yes Yes.... we all have a Carl in us, as in unfullfilled dreams.... and an annoying kid in the neighbourhood..... laughed all the way!
Yep loved it.. but hey I love all kids movies....
Catches the concentration, could not stop watching it.Most enjoyable and intriguing.Good for family.
after watching up i could only wonder what a better world it would be to live in if reality television producers had the imagination & intellect that the makers of up have. Fantastic, loved every minute
I know it's a kids movie but everyone still has a kid inside of them. Got to love a dog that can tell you what's on their mind. I laughed from start to finish
A very beautiful movie. Lovely story. Great for kids and adults alike. Bring a box of
kleenex, there's some sad parts in between the laughs.
Following the death of his beloved wife, a grizzly old man tries to re-live his childhood dreams. He attaches balloons to his home and flies to adventure, not realising that the local boy scout is still on his porch. An unlikey friendship begins as the scout tries to obtain his 'helping the elderly' badge and the grizzly man tries to take his home to his dream location.
Loved it Loved it Loved it
Great movie not just for the kids with a message for adults as well.
Kids love it.. Very colourful and fun.
A lovely movie, sure to warm the heart and make you chuckle.
All the family will enjoy this
One of the best movies i have seen for a while. A tear or two and plenty of hearty laughs.
That is awesome which makes me feel to do something for my partner more, even how hard it is.
It was a nice movie Great story
Good movie, good story line, our kids loved it. Another movie worth watching to keep the kids entertained or for mums and dad to have a laugh 7/10
What an excellent movie. We went out an purchased our own copy
What a grear family movie although there only my husband and i watched we enjoyed very much
A beautiful, wholesome movie. Truly touching.
I just did not get this film at all and I love animated movies. The idea of floating through the sky on a bunch of balloons was just too far fetched for me, I guess it is one for the kids. Not sure what I missed that everyone else saw in it but I thought it was woeful and struggled to make it to the end!
A good movie overall and I wish my dog had a collar like Doug's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fantastic movie. The animation was just beautiful. Couldn't believe it was based on a true story. Definately worth watching.
This movie was just gorgeous, I loved every minute. It's great for adults or kids and it's thoughtful with inspiring characters. VERY UPlifting!! Do yourself a favour and watch it asap.
Sensational family movie - the kids wanted to watch it again straight away. VERY well made, well scripted - brilliant show.
I love this kind of movie! Good fun, easy watching.
"Up" is an apt title for this movie, which is completely uplifting. The characters are wonderful. The themes are thoughtful - a father-less boy, an elderly widow caught up in memories of his wife and their dreams. The art is beautiful. The humour is clever and winning. Enjoy.
Loved it. Another brilliant offering from Pixar. It had humour, sadness, and a fantastic message about lige being too short so 'have an adventure' before it's too late.
Loved it. Wonderful animation and terrific storyline.
This is one of the best animated movies ever. Although sad at times, it's a fantastic adventure with great characters especially Russell the 'wilderness explorer' and the dog. Highly recommended for children and adults!!
Great movie, lots of laughs and fun to watch.
Loved it great movie fun for all the family
l love this movie very much!good one!
good movie not as good as trailer made out I very much like these kids movies but this just not quite there for me but still realy enjoyable
This is a great Pixar movie. Enough emotion to pull on the heart strings, character development and an interesting story line.
Other 3D movies of note: Finding Nemo, Robots, Surfs Up.
So beautiful and touching. Our senior citizens are portrayed in a light well deserved. A lovely watch by all members of the family.
Loved it, loved it, loved it!
Another beautiful Pixar movie - funny in some parts and quite emotional in others. An odd little story but very enjoyable. I think everyone who watches it may get something different out of it - one for all ages! Definitely worth watching.
Loved it. Wonderful movie for all ages. If this one doesn't make you feel good, there's something wrong.
The whole family enjoyed the movie
lovely story. It's amazing that people still need people.
Very clever movie, about life's journey the the twists and turns that our choices shape, which sounds very philosophical for a kids movie. The story moves well and has some very funny lines. Loved the extra features on the disc there are 2 mini movies. Loved that there was very little violence and that there is much that would scare the most sensitive child (unless they had a thing about dogs).
What a fantastic family movie, with great characters, and a lovely storyline.
Very good movie, but the dvd keeped jumping
A very well animated and directed movie. The director has vision of what he wants out of his production. The art of story telling is excellent. Will watch it again and again...
Sad in some parts, hilarious in others
It is a wonderful film for both adults and children. This Blu-Ray version is gorgeous with vivid colours and well rendered.
Like most Disney stories it has a mix of good and evil, sad times and happy times.
There is also more than half an hour of extras included and worth watching.
Bittersweet, funny and quite dramatic for an animated 'kids' movie, this is one the grownups will probably appreciate more. Beautifully done and very enjoyable.
very well done,a great movie, animation was very good
Not quite what I was expecting! I'm sure kids will enjoy the characters and animation but there is a much deeper and heartfelt story that will also touch adults. I even found it quite emotional at times! Fantastic animation and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I'm a big fan of Pixars Animated Features, so this was a must see for me. Their previous titles like Wall-E and Cars have been alot of great fun and some brililant humour that can be accepted by all ages. The great thing about Pixar features is the adult humour that accompanies the simple kiddy ideas and stories making them great movies for all ages.
Up bucked this trend a little, it still had some great moments, the dog is quite hilarious! But on top of it it had a very good quatliy feel to it, it wasn't just a silly family movie that the whole family can enjoy it had quite a bit of emotion to it as well, the first 20 minutes are excellently done and gets you invested more then some real movies do!
Its not the funniest of the Pixar flicks but still a great quality picture that is great for some light fun.
What a sad start to a children's film, literally. I thought this was going to be an amusing, fun story but there were a few times throughout the film that it was quite sad.
Not what I expected so I was a bit disappointed.
Great movie enjoyed it thoroughly
Another win from Pixar. This is better than they've had recently, having been a little disappointed with Wall-E. This was a heartwarning little movie, nothing gut-wrenching (except for that sad little montage with his wife at the start).
I didn't think I could sympathise with a cranky old man, but I really felt for him.
Fun and involving, and that's just my opinion. My daughter loved the dogs, lol
Brilliant clever movie, makes you laugh and cry. Pixar raise the bar ounce again. Not to be missed.
What a great movie!! So much emotion and fun. Definately a movie for kids and adults alike. Loved it!!
I really enjoyed this movie. Was in the mood for a bit of fun and stupidity and this movie was spot-on. Had some poignant ideas about getting old and wasting your days which I found fascinating and motivating. If you just want a easy view movie that will put a bit of a smile on yoru face then this one should do it.
Excellent movie for both adults and kids. Children will love the fantasy and adventure, and adults will pick up on some topics in there which im sure would go over most kids' heads. I will now see more animated movies because of this film.
I had low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. The dogs were hilarious.
we sat as a family and watched and we all loved it
Fantastic - loved it! Made me want to go and see it again in 3D.
Found it rather boring. Very predictable story. In general a good movie for kids, nothing special for adults
A delight from beginning to end.
The real star of this film is Dug the dog!
Very enjoyable, second time i'd seen it so it wasn't as good as the first but still a nice feelgood film for the whole family.
Enjoyable except for the strange talking dogs, could have done without that, couldn't see how they enhanced my viewing rather it became boring when they entered the show. Apart from this I did get emotionally caught up in it. Definetly worth a look, kids will love it.
I didn;t enjoy this movie. The sentimentality was over the top. Plus, the characters in it are all unlikeable. The old man is grumpy. The young kid is fat and annoying. The dogs don't move their mouths so they are hard to get a feeling for. It's not funny - i didn't laugh out loud once.
Kids thought it was REALLY good movie
Very funny movie, To hell with the kids. We just loved it and we are Grand parents!!!!
Bit overrated in my opinion. Good characters and often funny but story a bit silly. But then I'm not a kid.
Absolutely gorgeous movie, my kids and I loved it.
I was sure this would be a silly movie, which it was, but it did have a story behind it, my grandson loved it :)
I thought this was a very dissapointing movie - definately not for the younguns - unless too young to understand how 'adult
and depressing the story line is. Don't bother.
I found it extremely moving and motivating at the same time. Never give up on your dreams and when you keep reminding yourself the universe makes it happen. I was enthralled by the animation and special effects. Russell reminds me of children I used to look after eager to learn, they talk at a million miles an hour and yet are so adorable.
I loved this movie.
Some very tender moments as well as some laugh out loud moments.
This movie didn't quite live up to my expectations, although I suspect that's more because it's received such outstanding reviews rather than because it wasn't very good. For some reason, dispite the obvious need to suspend disbelief when watching this film-- the man flies to South America in a house, so you don't expect realism!-- there were times when I just felt that the story line was weak and, well, unrealistic. It was quite a good and uplifting film, as good as most Pixar films but not better than, say, Finding Nemo, Monster's Inc. or either of the Toy Stories. I will give it extra kudos for its very sympathetic representation of non-'typical' families.
Loved it! Beautifully produced, very funny, great dogs - excellent entertainment.
Even the Wife loved this movie. Well written for a 12 year old, not a lot in it for older adults unless your are a kid at heart. Good movie. 4 stars for the fun my wife forund in it.
it is ok. but can't compare to Pix's other movies such as finding nemo, incredible, Wall-E
This was not entirely my cup of tea. It's a great movie, but I spent much of it thinking the animation itself and the storyline was just a bit off.
I'm more of a Finding Nemo / Monsters Inc / animation fan, so this "human" tale didn't set my adrenaline pumping. It's kind of funny in parts - "Dug"the dog is fantastic, and so is Kevin.
The humans let this story down.
It's very emotional though, so be prepared to have your heartstrings tugged.
Great movie, but much sadder than expected.
Having been a longtime fan of computer animated films and seen the evolution of Pixar's quality, Up was perhaps the pinnacle film to put into perspective just how far we have come with technology in animation. The detail wasn't simply technically brilliant, but the effort put into forming such scenery and location draws you in with a skill I have only ever seen achieved by anime legend Hiyao Miyazaki. Not only was this a triumphant success on the visual team's part, but the story itself was of such high quality. Whether you enjoy the visual aspects or the story aspects of films such as these, this has undoubtedly set a new standard.
Worth watching. Funny from the begining. However the angry dogs scared the hell outta of one of the kids and she hadto hide her face!!
Cool Movie. Beter to watch in movies though.
My wife snorted food out her nose. My 3 year old screamed in terror. I cried like a baby. Job well done.
Very good animated story , emotional start to a fantastic climax ....... real enjoyable movie , even for adults
really good fun, some scary scenes may effect young ones but a great movie.
Quite a nice movie, but a bit scary at times for little kids, hence the PG rating.
Another Pixar Triumph! Talking dogs, whacky birds, grumpy old men, flying houses - what more could you want! Funy, touching, glorious. Don't miss.
Great movie, lots of laughs and a touching story. I wish I had watched the extras first, especially the bit where they went on location to explore the landscape they had to draw for the movie. They did such a good job of capturing it.
What a wonderful movie - and the extras are not to be missed. Everyone in our family from age 7 to age 76 loved this story and we watched it several times. The different age groups all took something different from it but it's mostly about keeping the spirit of adventure alive, no matter how old we are.
fantastic movie to watch..nice story ..sure to impress
As we all know Disney pixar movies are wonderful. Round up your kids or in our case our grandchildren (aged 7 & 5) for a sleepover. This particular one is extremely well done, clever story line, not too much to be scared about, happy ending. Break out the lemonade, popcorn and lollies and sit back for a lovely night???s entertainment.
Another great pixar film, this was a lot of emotion i am not saying this is the best one but its a great one and its up there. my fav character is Dug that dog is so cute and funny got to love him and has a cool story that everyone wants to do. great film.
Glorious- loved the bird. I thought Mr Frederickson looked like Spencer Tracey- wonder if this was intentional?
What can you say about brilliance? another fantastic disney pixar movie with great charactors and storyline. The 'dog' stole the movie!! the type of movie any age can enjoy and watch again and again.
Loved it! A bit more adult than other animated movies, more emotional. I thought it was fantastic!
This is a fun movie. Not just for kids, but for adults as well. I could relate easily to the old man, who just wanted to be left alone.
Look out for the star wars references.
This is by far the best animated movie I have ever seen. Many animated movies go for the laughs and not much else. There was so much emotion in this one. I almost cried in some parts and I'm not a big movie crier. Then there were parts where I was laughing so hard I almost cried again. They also did a fantastic job with the feeling of flying, I'm not afraid of heights but several times felt like I was actually falling. The story was also warm and full of good messages for the kids. Awesome movie.
