Within the FBI, there exists a division dedicated to investigating and prosecuting criminals on the internet. Welcome to the front lines of the war on cyber crime, where Special Agent Jennifer Marsh (Diane Lane) has seen it all... until now. A tech-savvy internet predator is displaying his graphic murders on his own website - and the fate of each of his tormented captives is left in the hands of the public: the more hits his site gets, the faster his victims die. When this game of cat and mouse becomes personal, Marsh and her team must race against the clock to track down this technical mastermind who is virtually untraceable.

Possibly the most predictable and pathetic move this year. There is no suspense because you know exactly how it's going to end. The cops are typically dumb (why would I bother checking behind the front seat? If he's not in the front seat, he's obviously not in the car...). I'm just surprised the two leads didn't kiss at the end. Expected better.

I really enjoyed this thriller. Good 'edge of your seat' plot that also questions human morality ie: would you log into a website to watch someone die ?

Full of suspense, quite bloody in parts. This movie got more suspensful as it got closer to a very good end.

This is a movie you would like to hate due to the horrific and gory torture scenes, but, the very reason for this is more frightening and brings up the question of the obsession with the internet and its offering of anonymous viewing of sex, violence and sometimes death. Gripping till the end…which could have been better.

Love Diane Lane, she's done so many films but never seems to get any accolades for them, I wonder why. She must be getting on in age now but doesn't show it. Her face shows every emotion, I love her style. The movie is not as good as she is but worth watching for a bit of entertainment. Again, I'd give the movie another half star but I don't know how to do halves.

Great concept, fantastic cast and wonderful production. Though the screenplay was too implausible and ultimately destroyed what could have been a great action/suspense thriller. I mean a cyber crimes agent who deals with internat security day in day out will her daughter download whatever she wants, an agent is threatened and no protection is given to the agents, a fellow agent is killed and still no protection. It was just too unbelievable. Intriguing and disturbing idea though, a great look into the pysche of an apathetic society these days.

I think there is a very valid point being made in this movie. How strong are we, could you resist your curiosity and not watch? Imagine if no person wanted to see the breaking news. Where does our responsibility to our fellow man begin and end? Thought provoking movie this one and if not it's still well worth watching.

Interesting view in to cybercrime - amazing to think that there are people around the world who get away with this stuff and never get caught. Good movie if you are a bit of a techhy

Could barely give it one star. I have said before that good horror should disturb, but not just leave it at that. The films social commentary on the evils of the net is not only hypocritical but also dangerous in a world where our freedoms are being challenged daily. Whilst trying to preach this film is nothing but voyeuristic garbage.
