a very good thriller with a real good twist of the story at the ending, certainally worth watching

Definitely not as good as the original, though it was still good to watch. The twist is unexpected - but the ending leaves a lot to be desired - weak compared to the rest of the movie. Great cast Elizabeth Banks and Emily Browning shine.

Haven't seen the Korean version so didn't compere. Thought the movie was easy to watch on a Sunday afternoon. Alittle predictable in places.

I've got to stop getting these sorts of films out. They are inevitably disappointing and a complete waste of time. Is this supposed to be a horror? There were very few moments that raised the tension or thrills. Pretty boring overall.

Definately worth a watch if you enjoy thrillers/horrors... be taken a ride

I enjoyed this movie as the story was good and took me away from the real world. Well acted with nice scenes and good twists.

The twist to this movie at the end was unexpected but I sort of had an inkling about 3/4 through. I enjoyed it and would recommend it.

Wow, didn't really see that coming. I have to admit my partner and I were paying this movie out badly as we watched it, but then - BAM - they throw that twist in there and it's not such a bad movie anymore. I would not say that it's a 'must-see' movie, but it's ok as long as you're not out to see a deep horror sort. It's more like 'teenage horror' if I'd have to describe it. Elizabeth Banks was really good, I was convinced all the way through! Don't try to find out what the twist is before you see it, let it surprise you!

Even if the twist didn't surprise, the delivery and performance was on pitch, you could do worse. . .

Average remake was going so well it could had been 5 stars but the film throws in the most dumbest plot twist that tries to rip off a High Tension's finale so its very disappointing. A teen returns home to her Dad and Stepmother after her mothers death but all is not what it seems. The acting earns this 2 stars on its own as everyone performs well here but the direction after an impressive 3 quarters of a film tacks on an unconvincing final act that not only is illogical but practically just about ruins the whole film. The movie aims more for jump scenes and suspense and does well at both but the final part is a complete cop out and makes me want to see the Korein original even more so. Def not a bad film but it could had been a winner. What a pity.

The ending was a great twist , i did not see this happening, kept me guessing till the end.

This movie kept you thinking

Okay. So it's not original or the best, but it does its job. The short running time means it doesn't out stay it's welcome. The big twist at the end is well handled and everything makes sense, which is the most important part in a horror movie. The cast do a good job in that sense. It was creepy watching Elizabeth Banks do the scary as oppose to the funny.

I was disappointed. I didn't realise this was a remake until I started watching it and having watched "A Tale of 2 Sisters" only a few months, I thought "The Uninvited" was a pretty lousy copy. If you're going to remake something, why bother unless you're going to make it better?

The description of this movie makes you think it will be a typical evil step mother out to get the kids kind of movie. The twist at the ending was great - I didn't see it coming! I would like to see the original movie now.

I absolutely loved it! i didn't know it was a remake, so dont' have anything to compare it to, but it was a fantastic movie, scary and great twist at the end! Would highly recommend!

Great movie! Well written and acted, I usually can pick the ending for horror/thrillers but this ending really surprised me. Well worth watching!

Weird movie, interesting.

Okay, so it's kinda scary, but it borrows too much from other horror films and has a script that makes its characters say some stupidly obvious things.

This is watchable, but it didn't really grab me, it's definitely not scary and in some parts it's ridiculous.

Remake of the masterpiece "A tale of 2 sisters" from Korea, the yankies did it again and this time it can't get worst than this. The Korean movie was heaps scary as well as very smart and the twist couldn't be found befor it gets to you. I was shocked while watching this american remake. It's terrible. The acting and the dialogues are so weak. You know right from the beginning what it's going to happen and that's not all. I suppose that for commercial reasons, the americans had to make the story easier to understand therefore they simply changed. As simple as that..they take a masterpiece, crush and destroy and rebuild it in a piece of trash that simple minds can easily get. I was bored and damn you Yankies! Please you who's reading my review...STICK TO THE ORIGINAL. The uninvited is far to be scary, far to be a good movie, far to be a masterpiece.
