If you're a fan of the series, you'll enjoy this prequel. Actually enjoyed it better than the others

Slightly Disappointed but still enjoyable. Glad they brought Kate back. By far the weakest of the four. helped the story though could be boring at times. best option is watch them back to back rather then trying to remember previous stories.

Fairly typical of the whole vampire/werewolf genre (excluding Twilight of course), but throw in a couple of decent actors such as Michael Sheen and Bill Nighy, and the quality of the movie lifts. I can't believe this is the same Michael Sheen I saw in Frost/Nixon and Love Actually, but he just shows how good he is in another genre. Bloody and dark but with a reasonable story, it keep us interested for the relatively short screen time of around 82mins.

weakest of the three - a series that's run out of steam

Great way to bring the stories together. As with the previous underworld titles this one is just as good to watch with the teenagers and to keep them in for the night.

Now if you're into the "vampire" "wolf" movies, this is a "must see", its well played especially Michael Sheen and there's a story that can be followed. Well worth the watch.

I was really disappointed with this one. The title promised so much to a vampire and werewolf lover from way back, unfortunately it just didn't deliver at all .I thought it was rather boring.

A solid addition to the underworld franchise telling the back story of how the lycans came to be and the origin of the blood fued between vampire and lycan Great visuals and effects, with some full on battles The story did feel a little rushed which won't be a problem if you have seen the first two movies but newcomers to the series may find it a little harder to follow

Pretty awesome prequel to the other two movies. Tells the story nicely and ties up some loose ends. Visually, very well done... the graphics are fantastic and the whole feel is dark and forbidding... very medieval.

This film, although by a different director to the first 2 Underworld movies is very well done. I would recommend brushing up on the Underworld history before watching this because you'll miss a lot of the value if you are shaky on the Underworld franchise. Very well done overall, well worth the watch!

I've now seen all of this series and this one is the best. They have all been beautiful to watch but this one added a depth of story to the art. One piece of advice - watch it at night. The screenplay is so dark it's difficult to see in daylight.

As good as the first two, with a story that sets up those same films and also gives us the chance of more sequels! Yay!

This prequel continues the story of vampire vs Lycan but since Part 2 run the story out the filmakers return to what was hinted at in parts 1 and 2 with Lucan falling in love with Sonja and leading the Lycans to victory. Acting by all is brillant and the direction takes the Braveheart approach and leans towards the Lycans side of the story more so then the vampires to help the viewer understand both sides of the story. Plenty of neat plot twists and excellent special effects make this film a joy to see. But the ending doesnt quite connect to the 1st film so its possible another Underworld might come out with Selene's story bridging up to part 1. But its def worth a view for Underworld fans and horror fans.

a visually dark and stunning movie it lives up to the first 2 movies and then some, the love between Sonja and Lucian is told beautifully. An awesome movie.
