Underworld - Evolution (2006)

If you watched and liked "Underworld" you NEED to see this as it is a follow on. Plenty of action, special effects quite good even if the plot at times has more holes than a block of swiss cheese. For the blokes, it is worth watching for Kate Beckinsale in skin tight black leather.

This movie is a fast action and has good photography Kate Beckinsale looks good in black leather, plenty of action, even if the story line is a bit thin, well worth looking at,

even worse than the first!!!

Brillant sequel equals the original and contunies Salene and Micheals story str8 after the 1st one ended. They have to fight the new vampire master who is after Salene because of an event in her past pre-vampire. Brillantly acted by all thou they could had made the new vampire master not look so much like Lucan in human form. No doubt the same actor played him for a different role but thats a forgiveable flaw. Fast paced direction ups the action scenes with twice the carnage and fun and deepens the romance between Salene and Micheal plus neat little touches like Micheal coming to grips with what hes become add class to the film. The effects are brill and they really cut loose with the blood and gore adding twice as much then the 1st film plus more Lycan transformations that are improved as well in CGI. The film ends on a nice peaceful note. Def recommended to those who loved the 1st film as its one of the few worthy sequal that retains the original stars, feel and action of the 1st film.

Sequel to Underworld. Exciting, thrilling and Kate is outstanding. Not to be missed.

WOW. What an awful awful awful follow up to a great movie. Dont continue introducing characters and not explain who they are. Dont rely soley on the first film to get the second to have any kind of substance. Actually write down your ideas so you dont keep screwing them over throughout the rest of the movie. Horrible. Contridictory. If you like Underworld. Dont ruin it by watching this.

As is fairly common, this is nowhere near as good as the first instalment. Not bad but not good either

Good follow on from the first Underworld. Didn't think it had as much of a story as the first though. Plenty of blood and gore though.

This not really my type of movie but my partner and grandson really enjoyed it.

I didn't like it that much. I thought it was ok. Just for passing time.

"Hmm, what can we do for a sequel to Underworld..." - (Director's thought) Sorry but that's not how you start making a sequel... The best parts of this movie are the scenes from the original Underworld, which for some reason were necessary to understand the new story - a big No No! This wouldn't be viewable even if it was an episode from a cheap sci-fi series. A video game scenario at it's best.

Worth watching untill you get to the middle of the movie then it keeps stopping and starting and its pretty hard to follow like that. So I would really like to watch it again but this time a dvd which is in better nick please

More of the first movie, good action and special effects, I am still wondering how the hell it wound up in central Europe but film makers can do what they like. If you are looking for hibrow entertainment and excellent scripting - you will be unhapopy, if you wnat a good vampire flick you will love it.

The deeper story makes Evolution a bit harder to understand than the first, but otherwise a great vampire flick. Kate is outstanding as usual and the remainder of the cast also do the movie justice. If you are a fan of Beckinsale or vampire movies or both then this one is not to be missed!

If you are into Lycans and Vampires this movie is worth renting out. Kate Beckinsale plays a great part as the Vampire warrior.the special effects are impressive.Loved the ending.

Even though I did not expect much from this in consequence to watching the first I was still sadly disappointed. Good time killer but like the first you don't really take anything home with you except a want to wear shiny clothes.

Fantastic! Better than the original. Fast paced, not so many characters to introduce, easy to follow. Greater emphasis on the love story between the two main characters. Looking forward to the next one!
