Dinally decided to watch Evolution; thought it would be bad. Decent amount of action, not too shabby story, nice to finally see a movie about vampires, absent the sex.

We have seen this before and though we would re-watch it before watching the sequel to remind us of the story. It is as good now as the first time we saw it. Obviously it is about the Lycan/Vampire war. If you are into that, you will like this offering. It is not perfect but deserved close to a 5 star.

This was one of those, just got cos nothing much else available... and to my surprise... REALLY good. Very enjoyable and good fantasy story... was happy some romance in there too for us girls! worth a watch.

I didn't mind this one actually, kept me intrigued to the very end for some reason. The plot was fairly predictable but something about it made me want to watch more. Same old action type stunts as any other action movie. Loved Kate Beckinsale in this, she played a great part. Worth watching at leastt.

Werewolves vs Vampires has been around since the 60's with Mexican films doing team ups but this brillant updating does away with the sex and sleaze and concentrates on the important element -the action. A vampire in war with Lycans falls in love with a man the Lycans are after as his blood is the key to linking them as one warrior. Brillant acting with Beckinsale making a brillant vampire and warrior determined to fight for justice and the others all perform equally well. The direction is smooth and allows both exciting action scenes as well as the tender loving ones as Saline finds out she cant deny her love for Micheal. This film is def what the overated Twlight should had been. The effects are professionaly done with CGI used well on the werewolves and an exciting showdown towards the end adds the cherry to the cake. A brillant yet under-rated film on Big Pond def deserves a 2nd chance to those who overlooked it due to the complex storyline as it does become clear after a few repeat viewings. Def recommended to horror and action fans as theres plenty to please both fans of the genie. Loved it and cant wait to see if the sequal is just as brill.

There is nothing sexier than a female vampire in a black leather suit, black boots holding two semi automatic hand guns! Kate B. who would of guessed this innocent little brit could have pulled this bad A. off. lf you liked "Blade" you will love this bad girl. A truck load of great extra bits wonderfully shot in a comic book style setting, a cult classic already.

Now here's a twist...mix Vampires with Werewolves on the same timeline and era and you've got a story. They have finally run out of storylines with these gothic monsters. The only thing holding this movie together is Kate Beckinsale - yum! She's got what it takes to pull those punches physically and to fit into that shiny black leather/acrylic number.

If you have not watched Blade, this would be good to watch, however, if you have watched Blade, don't bother with this then, it's kinda repetitive with a change to context that's all.

If you like Blade, you'll like Underworld. I have to admit, I do like something about a movie that pits one fantasy monster against another. It was also good to view the movies division between the different cultures of the two - the "refined" vampire vs. the rougher, street attitude of werewolves (or lycans as they're called in Underworld). Both sides seem to rely a bit more on modern day weaponry than there own inate abilities, but hey, a gun fight is a good way to fill an action film.

Really, really liked this movie. I am a big fan of supernatural movies, and this movie was really well done. Sometimes other movies are overly CGI'd, but this movie was very easy to watch, had some good action scenes. This movie had a very good story line, and the characters were interesting, and intriguing. I recommend this movie to all who enjoy movies with Vampires etc..
