this was a really good movie not perfect but good
the beginning is slow & boring & it doesn't get much better. the acting is pretty bad which makes the story not very believable. the location in the tunnels made it creepy & there are a few jump seat scares. over all its pretty lame.
‘The Tunnel’ is a low budget film. While that often produces excellent results, it isn’t the case with this film. The principal reason is poor directing. Carlo Ledmesa allows the story to drift, over emphasising its central conflict between the protagonists and the ‘enemy’. His interminable use of the hand held camera and distorted vision is a real turn off, not to mention confusing. I’d give it half a star for the performances if such a category were available, not that the actor are bad, in fact they are quite good, but they are up against an indulgent director and predictable script.
A decent Aussie attempt to do Australia's stag night and Creep and great acting def pushes this above average but despite a decent set up and a decent atmosphere of Doom they show the villian WAY too soon and it would had worked better if the creature was unseen till the 3rd act. Also the ending is suspect consdering the events and a train offical disappearing WOULD had been noticed but it def comes across as possible in a scary sci fi kind of way.
Not bad. Turned out better than I thought. Good suspense.
For some reason this really tickled my nerves! Had to watch something fluffy n happy before going to bed cos I was a lil freaked out!
Dont watch alone!
Would recommend to all who want a scary, suspense flick.
I was not very scared it not one of Australias best it was just okay.
Awesome aussie horror flick. Another found footage style movie, but underneath my city! Always wanted to check out the abandoned tunnels in the railway under sydney.
Loved this movie. After avoiding Australian movies for years due to pathetic acting and embarrassing over the top Aussie accents and slang, I have been pleasantly surprised by recent movies such as this one which are up there with other top movies. Scary and lots of suspense. Starts a bit slow but stay with it. Maybe a bit unrealistic but it is fictional after all.
A twisted movie! Kind of scary but also quite "unrealistic" towards the end which screams fictional.
for an Australian movie this was Excellent movie, enjoyed it, very creepy.
A little slow to start while they set up the plot, however develops into a good movie. Well worth a watch.
Absolutely loved this film- aussie films are getting great!
Could watch it again - actually want to buy it!!!
Loved the movie, the movie was filmed where I used to work and it was good to see something suspenseful and scary filmed in such a peaceful spot. Well worth watching.
absolutely brilliant. Nothing like watching a horror movie that was filmed less than 50m from where you actually work. I still shudder when I look out of my window at work
Freaky!!!! Scary!!! I covered my face half of the time so i dont get nightmare!
Watched this one twice,it was a tense,'Blair Witch' type, handheld camera styled movie. Enjoyed it!
didn't like the movie to much talking
Surprisingly decent Aussie reality-horror. All good, but flat ending
Good movie. Is it really true and nothing been done? Better than a horror film. Had us glued watching.
Very disappointing! An unconvincing documentary style storyline and script which for the most part was badly acted. In the same vain as 'The Blair Witch Project' but unfortunately this film does not deliver on scares, substance or believabilty. Quite a shame considering the visual potential that Sydney's underground tunnels could have actually provided for a film however this richly scarry backdrop was somewhat lost admist the lameness of this mockumentary.
This was a brilliant movie - still not sure if this was fact or fiction? This is a must for all Quickflixies !
i love stuff like this,i found it a little slow to start, was a bit disappointed i didn't get to see the being but overall it wasn't bad.
Australian horror (in the style of Lake Eden & REC) about a documentary film crew shooting a story on Sydney's disused rail tunnels. The team is terrorised by strange noises as their lights & equipment disappear & they are hunted down & picked off one by one by an unseen, underground "monster". There are several real heart-attack moments but, ultimately, this film lacks substance. I give it 2 & a half stars.
