A brilliantly made Blair witch style mockumentry about a group of teens who investergate a suspect poacher but end up with more then they bargined for. Acting is brill and the direction is smooth and the Trolls look amazing and very realistic too. Lovely scenery is a major plus. A strange ending but a sequel would be welcome.

Excellent movie and such a great idea to make such a film, i'm not so sure half the comments on here are from people who actually watched the whole movie...because if they did then there opinion of it would be higher - or they just don't know a good movie, while it isn't the best movie it's still very enjoyable to watch and keeps you wanting more! recommended!!

Blair Witch meets Cloverfield in this Norwegian tongue in cheek horror/comedy. I don't mind a foreign film at all, and this was about what I expected of this film, and though it tries hard, I found myself a little bored by it. I have to wonder if it really 'translates' for an audience outside of Northern Europe, but I think youngsters might find more thrills than old grown ups in this. It would have been a great B movie at the drive ins. But...ah ha! now I know why there's so many electricity pylons and musk oxen in Norway.

Ridiculous movie. A Norwegian attempt to make a movie like "The Blair Witch Project". Might have had a chance if the story wasn't so stupid and the Trolls so comical.

Sooooo baaaaaad... and thats nothing to do with it being foreign !! Dreadful dreadful. Switched it off after they blew their whole storyline within 15 minutes - showing the troll and everything. They kept nothing back to keep you hooked.

A little unusual, but I found it entertaining nonetheless. Ignore the dummies below who can't comprehend a disc that doesn't default to english audio.

This was a very interesting movie, quite compelling to keep watching even though I had to read subtitles. Intersting ideas and well done.

First: Don't be put off by all the people who gave this a bad review because it was subtitled, they obviously didn't select the Set Up option on the DVD Menu which enables you to change to an English voice dub. Second: This is a mocumentary not a standard movie, so appreciate the subtle tongue-in-cheek humour and the steady pacing of the story. I've had this at #1 on my Queue for 8 months and it was well worth the wait. Clever, quirky and cool.

I stopped this half way through, nowhere in the “movie” description does it mention it being foreign and subtitled, just couldn’t get into it and I do feel I’ve been conned.

This is a top film. Having toured Norway over 15 years ago I really enjoyed the references to Trolls which are an important part of Norwegian folklore. The story was engaging, scenery spectacular and CGI effects better than anything Hollywood has ever done. Well worth seeing.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS! I thought this movie was awesome. First up: It is Norweigan, and a 'comedy' (although its more a tongue-in-cheek live-docu-drama done on a hand-held video camera than an actual 'comedy'), hence the subtitles (which were fine). Also, unless you uinderstand a bit about Norweigan Trolls then the monsters will look a tad silly compared to today's Hollywood CGI mega-monsters - but they are 100% BANG ON to their local folklore appearance. I was VERY impressed and as can be imagind from a film about Norweigan Trolls filmed in Norway - it's pretty accurate... Let me just reiterate again ~ it said on the DVD case that it is a COMEDY, so anyone expecting anything super-serious is in for a surprise I suppose? And the LAST thing it was could be explained as is boring. A tad slow in sections because of the nature of the character build-up gathering of tension, but I loved it. I've never seen a movie with so much dreary rain in it and people running off haha. I found it utterly entertaining and it was a really gritty, down-to-earth 'live video' kind of movie - a bit like Blair Witch Project but not half as scary. Fantastically entertaining and one I'll be recommending to my mates for a beer and a watch!

Very disappointed. Gave it at least 20 minutes in hope it would improve, but gave it away. Shame the movie didn't draw one in as the preview did. It looked like a poor quality home made video more than anything and to make it worse it was sub titled which was not mentioned any where....... Scores a BIG fat Zero .....

This is a fantastic film, made in Norway on a low budget ($3 million US). The scenery is beautiful and the story is solid, with a solid performance from the actors. The movie follows the folklore ideas of Trolls and you see many references to Norse fairly tales here. For those who aren't sure about foreign languages, Norwegian is a soft and expressive language, and is easily blocked out by those who don't know the language.

it doesn't say anywhere that it is a subtitled film, but if you don't mind reading the subtitles it is easy to follow and much better than 1st anticipated.

Just fast forward to the effects. That is easily the best part. The rest is shaky cam.

I didn't realize this was a foreign film, but thats ok I don't mind reading subtitles. The movie info has it as a horror action comedy. The back of the movie cover has the genre as action/comedy. There is no horror content and it is actually quite comical (in a stupid way). My 15 yr son who likes foreign films was amused by this movie. I liked the idea of this movie and it did keep us interested. It's not that bad but I wouldn't watch it again. If you don't mind reading subtitles its maybe worth a watch. If you don't like reading subtitles don't bother.

Ok, firstly, this movie has subtitles, so if you don't like reading, don't get this movie out. If you don't mind subtitled movies, this isn't a bad attempt. It is similar to Blair Witch with a student camera crew following a strange man who tells them he is a troll hunter. They think he is nuts, until they see the trolls for themselves. Quite creative and keeps you interested, but the ending just fell a little bit flat.

Pathetic foreign language done in "Blair Witch" style. The special effects were that bad they were almost comical.

This one was a real time waster! I such a shame as the preview looked entertaining. and its not spoken in english so the voices don't really match the characters.

Once again a bad trailer gives entirely the wrong impression about a film, and gives away some of the best moments. This film has a very serious tone with no epic sound track and is filmed in a very realistic way. It's very dramatic and you feel a lot of sympathy for the characters. It's also a a brilliant premise.
