Terrorism themes, violence and coarse language

Director: Jeffrey Nachmanoff
Actors: Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Jeff Daniels, Neal Mcdonough

When straight arrow FBI agent Roy Clayton (Guy Pearce) heads up the investigation into a dangerous international conspiracy, all clues seem to lead back to former US Special Operations officer, Samir Horn (Don Cheadle). A mysterious figure with a web of connections to terrorist organizations, Horn has a knack for emerging on the scene just as a major operation goes down. The inter-agency task force looking into the case meets with Carter (Jeff Daniels), a veteran CIA contractor who seemingly has his own agenda and Max Archer (Neal McDonough), a fellow FBI agent. The task force links Horn to a prison break in Yemen, a bombing in Nice and a raid in London, but a tangle of contradictory evidence emerges, forcing Clayton to question whether his quarry is a disaffected former military operative - or something far more complicated. Obsessed with discovering the truth, Clayton tracks Horn across the globe as the elusive ex-soldier burrows deeper and deeper into a world of shadows and intrigue.

Did not enjoy this movie at all and stopped before the end of the film. Story too convoluted to follow and I got lost more than once. Boring and not worth watching.

A great movie, had my attention from start to finish. An important movie for our times as fundamentalist Islam grows in power.

Dragged on a bit, but still entertaining. A bit like The Kingdom, but not as good.

Very good story - don't worry about the slow start, it picks up. The story is about an undercover agent for the Americans, or is he. The FBI are interested. Touches on areas of good muslim/bad muslim, what is treason really, how far can an undercover agent go to protect his cover. Great ending, you want to stand and cheer.

Despite some problems with pace, this was not a bad movie. Very well cast, with some unexpected (and predictable) twists and turns in the plot. For once I did not feel that the cameraman, editor, director and cast were on speed. There were times that it really needed some get up and go, but the casual attitude most of the characters portrayed was somewhat more like real life people in normal circumstances. This had the makings of being a really good film. Tighten up the script, give some humanity (which was lacking to me) to the Islamic extremists, and then the story would have provided a true conundrum, something that we Westerners would probably have never really understood, but that is beside the point. The extra half a star is for Guy Pierce who not only looks taut and terrific, but is developing a strong independent acting style that is truly appealing.

We found ourselves comparing this terrorist thriller with "Body of Lies" and found that whilst it was very good, it wasn't quite as good as the Russell Crowe/Leonardo Di Caprio blockbuster. Don Cheadle is superb and Guy Pearce and the rest of the cast provide adequate support. Not sure about Jeff Daniels in his role though. It does keep you guessing for a long time and the builing of tension is well done. A bit scary if you think too much about it. Definitely worth watching. 3 and 1/2 stars.

It's an interesting take on things but i found this too slow. Good story and loved Guy Pearce but i did find myself drifting.

Straight down the line, straight-forward thriller presented from a different point of view. Turn your brain off, put your feet up and enjoy - you'd be hard to please if you're disappointed.

I'm shocked Americans made this film. Don Cheadle is absolutely awesome and the story is told from a viewpoint that has never (or very rarely) been seen in commercial film. It is told without sentimentality or bias and gives good insight into suicide bombers motivations.
