Of these, Rasputin—Mad Monk is by far the better of the two, a fanciful retelling in which Christopher Lee creates plenty of mayhem. The secondary characters are all a bit wet, though; typical of most Hammer films. Theatre of Death is a bit of a mixed bag with little to recommend it. Even Christopher can't snarl or posture enough to make it work; the plot twist, such as it is, is too improbable even in this context. Score: the 3 stars are for Rasputin; nothing for the other.
