very drawn out and hard to follow, it could have been good but didn't deliver'
Don't bother, this movie is a real yawn. I'm a true crime buff but this movie was so dull I can't even recall the details and I only watched it two nights ago. Neither the acting nor the story line did anything for me. I've only allocated one star because I have to.
This movie s based on a series of actual unsolved serial murders which have been occurring from the 1970's along a stretch of highway between Houston and Galveston in Texas. It must be 'loosely' based because if you watch any documentary on the cases, there are a lot of differences. I agree, Worthington cannot do an American accent, and to me, it's one of the easiest anyone could do. We have all grown up on American television shows, so you would think it would almost be a piece of cake.
Very Boring and disjointed movie. Don't bother watching. You can hardly hear anything Sam Worthington says.
It was very good it kept me interested all the way throught .
I also found the sound was terrible. Was really looking forward to watching - only watched about 30 minutes of it and turned it off
I also found the volume levels on this a bit too low. About half way through right now and I'm not very interested. Didn't really like Javier in the role.
I found it a little slow and trying to follow the threads of story line was difficult I was disappointed I feel the editing was awful and I think I could have done better and I am not an editor I gave it 2 stars
I agree with other reviews, the audio was awful. That combined with the contrived accents meant I couldnt follow half of what was happening. A movie that could have been good, but instead completely train-wrecked. Scenes were scattered, character behaviour / motivation always questionable (wait... your going alone!??? AGAIN!???), story disjointed. Dont bother.
Another movie that was worth the watch.
Can't really remember so can't have been that good.
The audio was really bad - had to crank it up to the highest level and still had trouble hearing it. I would hardly call it a "thriller" and it was rather boring and confusing.
Bad movie very disappointing could not make much sense of it and could hardly understand what everyone was saying
boring movie, went nowhere for me, totally lost interest in it after 10mins and went onto my laptop.
Too slow and depressing. Could not get interested in the characters
Brilliant screenplay & acting.
I expected this to be a great movie but all it was, was a great disappointment! The storyline had the potential to be a great movie but it was wasted. The movie was SLOW and hard to understand with all their "mumbling", which in turn made it hard to follow. Who the Serial Killer was in the end, I still don't know! Don't waste your time or money on this cheap budget film.
Disjointed plot, dialogue just about unintelligible, stylishly shot and great atmosphere. Pity huh?
Not bad. Lacking in suspense. I spent half the time wondering what everyone was saying - sound not good.
Very disappointed is this film however, only rented it because of Sam Worthington. This film was nothing like I expected, it seemed a plot (based on a true story) that was completely and utterly shortened (& in essence, killed) because of budget. Great actors just not what I thought it would be.
was a Slow start............. But I enjoyed it, good story, based on real events..
Long and drawn out. i couldnt wait till this movie was finished.
could have been a better movie if one could have understood Sam Texas accent, had to put on the sub titles to see what he was saing.
Very disappointing movie, too dark, too slow, picked the baddie a mile away, don't waste your time.
I started of interested but lost the interest along the way
It's ok.... boring though. Thats about all I have to say. Very slow paced and a bit depressing.
Loved it, fab story line. highly reccomend it
Struggled through this one.
this is a review, this movie was really good. You should watch it
Good characterisation at the expense of thrills and a slightly incoherent story. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is good, Sam Wortho is almost understandable with a cotton-wool-in-mouth Texas accent. Never entirely affecting or disturbing, it remains aloof.
I somehow managed to watch the whole thing and wish i didn't waste my time. The story makes no sense and has no point. Definitely find something better to watch... Not worth your time!
Tedious, depressing and poorly acted. Worthington's accent is embarrassing. I couldn't see it through.
