Souder, a homicide detective in a small Texan town, and his partner, transplanted New York City cop Detective Heigh, track a sadistic serial killer dumping his victims' mutilated bodies in a nearby marsh locals call 'The Killing Fields'. Though the swampland crime scenes are outside their jurisdiction, Detective Heigh is unable to turn his back on solving the gruesome murders. Despite his partner's warnings, he sets out to investigate the crimes. Before long, the killer changes the game and begins hunting the detectives, teasing them with possible clues at the crime scenes while always remaining one step ahead. When familiar local girl Anne goes missing, the detectives find themselves racing against time to catch the killer and save the young girl's life.

Very Boring and disjointed movie. Don't bother watching. You can hardly hear anything Sam Worthington says.

I also found the sound was terrible. Was really looking forward to watching - only watched about 30 minutes of it and turned it off

I also found the volume levels on this a bit too low. About half way through right now and I'm not very interested. Didn't really like Javier in the role.

I found it a little slow and trying to follow the threads of story line was difficult I was disappointed I feel the editing was awful and I think I could have done better and I am not an editor I gave it 2 stars

I agree with other reviews, the audio was awful. That combined with the contrived accents meant I couldnt follow half of what was happening. A movie that could have been good, but instead completely train-wrecked. Scenes were scattered, character behaviour / motivation always questionable (wait... your going alone!??? AGAIN!???), story disjointed. Dont bother.

The audio was really bad - had to crank it up to the highest level and still had trouble hearing it. I would hardly call it a "thriller" and it was rather boring and confusing.

I expected this to be a great movie but all it was, was a great disappointment! The storyline had the potential to be a great movie but it was wasted. The movie was SLOW and hard to understand with all their "mumbling", which in turn made it hard to follow. Who the Serial Killer was in the end, I still don't know! Don't waste your time or money on this cheap budget film.

Very disappointed is this film however, only rented it because of Sam Worthington. This film was nothing like I expected, it seemed a plot (based on a true story) that was completely and utterly shortened (& in essence, killed) because of budget. Great actors just not what I thought it would be.

Good characterisation at the expense of thrills and a slightly incoherent story. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is good, Sam Wortho is almost understandable with a cotton-wool-in-mouth Texas accent. Never entirely affecting or disturbing, it remains aloof.

I somehow managed to watch the whole thing and wish i didn't waste my time. The story makes no sense and has no point. Definitely find something better to watch... Not worth your time!
