I was really looking forward to this movie purely to watch Clair Dane's acting, but I enjoyed it so much more. What remarkable women Temple and her mother are. Some of the story line could have been boring regarding the cattle and that but it became so interesting. Learnt some things I didn't know about cows lol. Not action, drama blah blah but a great story, well told with amazing acting. After you watch it google Temple and see how we'll Clair portrayed her.

The Temple Grandin journey is remarkably portrayed by Claire Danes. A movie that beautifully demonstrates our differences aren't always impediments. Inspirational.

Great story of family, perserverance and how the adversity of disability doesn't mean you won't change the world. Definitely worth taking a look at the extra bits too to see Dr Grandin herself.

To be brief, this is one terrific film, and Clare Danes for all the world is Autistic. Excellent story, well acted, and no swearing or crudity.

This is a really good biopic of the amazing Autist and animal libertarian Temple Grandin who managed to transcend all the hysteria and misunderstanding around Autism and become a world famous academic and animal liberationist. Hers is a story of true courage, family love and struggle. Claire Danes is great in this, capturing some of Temple's eccentricity and the film is a different look at the Swinging Sixties in the USA and what "the other people" were doing with their lives. Thank you Temple for making the lives of beef cattle as humane as possible and for your great contribution to increasing understanding about Autism.

What an incredible movie and story! Well worth watching! Fantastic Acting from Claire Danes. And we think we have problems in life - ours are nothing compared to those with a challenge. So what is our excuse for not using the incredible precious gifts and talents we have been given - none! And the very difficult role for Julia Ormond to play. Next time someone has a public outburst just look for they may be someone incredible gifted and have the ability to change the world. So many reviews focus on the cattle but miss the person who changed their lives. How much she had to overcome. How many doors she had to "walk through". Next time we are faced with an "automatic door" - let's walk through it!

Absolutely LOVED this movie - and today they had a segment on TV about an UK Policeman who has been disallowed from immigrating to Australia because his step daughter has mild autism. I wanted to shout out - "watch this movie !!!" I think its a real eye opener for anybody - they are not simple - very clever & gifted people.

Excellent movie. I've seen this and heard snippets of this remarkable woman. Claire Danes was incredibly empathic in her portrayal. If you watched the horrifying presentation on Four Courners of the sickening treatment of cattle we send off to Indonesia to be slaughtered in the most terrifying and shameful conditions, in Australian "designed" (designed for pain) equipment, you would have seen Temple Grandin commenting on the cruelty and shocking design. As she says often during the movie, "nature can be cruel but we don't have to be." Julia Ormond was exquisite as Temple Grandin's mother. A must see.
