The story of a man who could only count to #1 NASCAR stock car racing sensation Ricky Bobby (Will Ferrell) is a national hero because of his "win at all costs" approach. He and his loyal racing partner, childhood friend Cal Naughton Jr. (John C. Reilly), are a fearless duo -- "Shake" and "Bake" by their fans for their ability to finish so many races in the #1 and #2 positions, with Cal always in second place. When flamboyant French Formula One driver Jean Girard (Sacha Baron Cohen) challenges "Shake" and "Bake" for the supremacy of NASCAR, Ricky Bobby must face his own demons and fight Girard for the right to be known as racing's top driver.

The usual Will Ferrell movie - lots of funny gags, loses itself about halfway through and then finishes off in a cheesy fashion. Enjoayble as long as you don't take it too seriously.

This movie was terrible, I found only one part it was funny but i had to watch the movie right to the end before i discovered it. You will like this movie if you like stupid comedy like american pie and scary movies. I thought even though will ferrel was a great actor in this, the movie itself was pathetic and will never watch it again. The bloopers were good.

I watched this in 4 sittings! Fell asleep on the first 3 attempts so not hilarious enough to really keep me interested, but I got a few laughs. If you like the usual silly stuff from Will Ferrell you will too.

Oh wow, Hilarity and crazy at that! Truly great stuff from Ferrell, Reilly and co. I love the language, the humour and give full credit to the people who script and direct this stuff. One of the best!!! Must see...

Enjoyable, but I personally didn't find it as funny as Will's other movies like Anchorman or Blade of Glory. More chuckle than laugh out loud funny. The racing scenes are well done but I felt the film was a little too long.

One of the lamest movies I've ever seen. I couldn't watch past the first 20 minutes. The main character was a series of cringe moments. I wouldn't recommend anyone waste their time.

If you like Will Ferrell, this is a pretty safe bet. Some inane, puerile humour for all of us immature blokes... The behaviour around the dinner table with his kids is amusing.

There’s a Monty Python streak running throughout this un-even winner, a mostly entertaining satire of NASCAR culture as a sports-movie genre and associated redneck lowbrow amusements. Race drivers Ricky Bobby (Will Farrell), Cal Naughton Jr. (John C Reilly) and Frenchy Jean Girard (Sasha Baron Cohen) and others provide just enough laughs during this rise and fall and rise-again spoof.

Genuinely funny moments, surrounded by other more painful, less funny moments, surrounded by other moments that are just crap. It makes the movie watchable but not Will Ferral's greatest effort.

Loved this movie from the start till the finish. In fact it was unfortunate that it had to finish! From the trailer park humour right through to the mad cap stunts. Only a couple of moments where young children needed to look away (eg. dining table scene), other than that it's a fantastic movie to watch with the entire family to enjoy a good belly laugh. Buckle up!

Will Ferrell's usual brand of madcap humour works once again, but with far less polish than Anchorman. Sacha Baron Cohen is brilliant in his pompous foreigner role - although the accent is too reminiscent of Borat to be taken seriously
