The Koreans ( I am now hoping it was a Korean film) really know how to make a chop em up, gory thriller flick. Well done!

A kind of messed up, emotionally intense version of Fargo. Depressing but very powerful.

Interesting movie with high violence scenes but gripping story-line from the Korean master-director Park Chan Wook. This is good but wait till you see the next installment of the trilogy i.e. Old Boy then you would more appreciate the genre and admit that the director is a master in the genre.

I enjoyed 'Old Boy' and also 'Cut' from 3 extremes, but for some reason found this very hard to watch. Some parts just made no sense at all. I like weird, but not weird weird.

I'm yet to see the other two vengeance films. But this one yet again shows how Hollywood films have stagnated. It's a little slow and requires a bit of concentration to follow all the way through (not the most ideal hangover recovery film). The action and revenge scenes hit home hard and may have you squirm a little in your chair, or a lot if your not desensitized to film violence.

Often hard to watch, but absorbing. Grade A filmaking on all fronts.
