Couldn't even be bothered to finish it.
I gave it 3 stars, as I thought it could have been better. I didn't mind it though. But it's not a film I'd rush to watch again. I found the "donor" a twit from the very beginning. And the entire film was a bit obvious.
I was a bit disappointed with this movie. I couldn't get past the fact that the kid playing the son had brown eyes!! (found it very distracting...) Strange when the parents and the donor all have blue - I was thinking it was some sort of genetic throw back that would get cleverly explained within the film - didn't happen - would have been so much better if that was some sort of twist in the movie (over thinking it maybe...ha!...) Was ok and nice enough - if you like Jason Bateman (as I do) The Change Up is way better.
Not a bad movie for the best part, but the story is old. Acting by the two leads (Jason and Jennifer) was average at best and was more or less tired. No killing in movies spoiled what could be promising.
I enjoyed this movie. Jason Bateman and Jennifer Anniston are great. Watched it for the second time and just as good the second time round.
A great match teaming up Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman. A classic rom-com that is worth watching more than once.
Cute movie, a few funny parts overall easy movie to watch and relax to
Jason Bateman did his best, but it's not one to add to your personal DVD collection. Enjoyable enough, but I just couldn't get over how ridiculous the 'switch' part played out (though I tried because sometimes you just have to say, 'sure, that can happen (not!)" and just get on with enjoying the movie. So 2 out of 5. One star for Jason B and one for the little boy actor who did a really good job!
Nice and light comedy, very predictable - chick flick. What a great acting job the little boy did, some words i didn't know or even could pronounce...
Pretty good movie. Typical chick flick so enjoy :)
Surprisingly very enjoyable.
I gotta be honest here... I rented this movie thinking it was that other delightful Jason Bateman movie - The Change Up - guess I got mixed up. Well I wish I hadn't. The Switch is not a movie to watch when you're sleepy - 'cause it will finish the job. Jennifer Aniston is characteristically goofy and vulnerable and pretty, but it's the same character she always plays, I'm afraid. The story felt like it dragged on - very slowly and Jason Bateman was doing his best to salvage the story - but sadly didn't succeed. I may give the movie another chance when I'm not so sleepy next time. But as for the Change-Up (what I should've seen)... well that was utterly brilliant... watch this space for that review.
I liked this cute and sappy, but a bit of fun makes you laugh!
Cute and funny. A great chick flick. Nice character development with a feel good ending.
Really enjoyed this one..............storyline a bit different to the normal romcoms. The boy that played Sebastian was a very cute kid. Don't know why Aniston's character couldn't have picked who the boys real father was at all, seeing they were supposed to be the best of friends? A very enjoyable 100 minutes
typical "see where its headiing" comedy, but totally watchable. we enjoyed it fully, especially my partner as , of course, loves jen ....
Ok, so despite being a bit schmalzy overall, it didn't turn into a 'When Harry Met Sally' chick-flick bus crash. Jason Bateman keeps things really grounded, you can't help but like him, even though his character was probably unlike-able. His acting was simple and truthful. Jennifer Aniston is just playing her own personal truth in this, which ain't a criticism. I guess that's why she was drawn to do it. So while it didn't rock my world, it was a pretty tidy, funny, and sincere film.
Enjoyed this movie quite a bit. Loved the kid. Can't see why there was anything wrong with him. He was adorable. Is funny if she was such a great friend. Why didn't she see her best friend in her little boy?
Great Movie, I would definately watch again!!
I found this movie difficult to watch to be honest kind of sad and drawn out, its definitely not a fun romcom. Having said that its not a bad film just not my kind of thing
It was just ok. Wouldn't watch it again.
It was fun and not as typical as you'd imagine. Definitely light and enjoyable.
I loved this movie good sunday avo flick . Jennifer and jason chemistry so there .
Great modern theme displaying the intracity of interfering with human life... nevertheless all worked out well
Jason Bateman was grt in this, and even tho u sort of know how it'll end it;s still great entertainment and not always predictble. a good simple flick for easy watching.
It's alright, entertaining.
Loved Jason Bateman in this role and the kid was so cute! Enjoyed this film more than I thought I would, being a single Mum I really related to some of the bits.
I thought this was really good! The little lad in the movie is so cute! A sweet feel good chick flick.
BIG fan of Jason Bateman and becoming more so of Jennifer Aniston lately. A good pairing in 'the switch' - they play off each other well. Really enjoyed this one.
loved it. terrific feel good film
feel good movie. usually don't like jennifer anniston movies, but this was pretty good
good movie my teenage daughter and i really enjoyed it
Wasn't good, Jennifer plays her self once again.....
I wasn't expecting alot, not a fan of Aniston, but I found I actually enjoyed it
Was okay, but Jen has done better movies in the past!
good family fun - would recommend it
Very enjoyable to watch. the pseudo-neurotic Bateman plays his character well, whilst Aniston plays the older mum role with aplomb. Up-to-date in regards to what is happening in the the 'baby race' this days with IVF and whatnot. A fun, heartfelt movie, shed a tear just before the end. It is a girlie movie and once again, predictable, but keeps you intrigued....
A bit silly, and a bit predictable, but also sweet and sometimes funny. It's certainly a novel way to get out of the "friend zone".
Another enjoyable Jennifer Aniston chick flick, better suited the more mature audience who have lived a bit. Justin Bateman was also really great in the father/son scenes with the little boy who was surprisingly good.
Enjoyable - a good giggle. I laughed out loud. Love Jason Bateman. Feel-good film
EXCELLENT!! Had low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. VERY FUNNY. Heartfelt. Great writing. Not are rom com at all. Jason bateman makes the film as well as other funny characters dotted along the way.
This is a movie I could watch again, very good
Very slow to start off. The only good bits in the film were in the trailor so it was a predictable movie. Could have put a twist in at the end.
Entertaining even though you knew what was going to happen!! The little boy is a cutie - Jason and Jen work well together with good support from Jeff and Juliette (playing very "samie" characters as usual). It's a chick-flick and I'm a chick - so I enjoyed it!!
Loved this one. Jason Bateman was great, heartwarming, funny and a good story behind it. Not as much of a light fluff piece as you might expect.
I found this movie really boring. Not worth it
Can you really expect too much from a Jennifer Aniston moveie? It's nice, it ticks all the right boxes for a chick flick. Watch it and enjoy.
Good chick flick. Not memorable but entertaining.
This is a lovely, sweet feel-good story that will make you smile. Jennifer is her usual 'friends' self, but we are used to that, and Justin is marvelous, as he always is. Jeff Goldblum too is excellent as Wally's long suffering and wonderfully calm friend, we should all have one of these. The real star is the boy, what an amazing kid! The story is a little predictable - you'll guess the plot in the first ten minutes, but in a nice way. The actual switch part of the story is a bit hard to believe but makes for a good plot. I actually wished the movie was longer, I could have watched Justin and the boy for another half hour they were so delightful together. If cute kids and tales of long lost loves reunited bring tears to your eyes you'll love this.
Good comedy/romance. Really enjoyed
hahaha great movie to watch. loved it .
A good movie quite a few laughs at times worth watching
watched it only for jennifer and her designer clothes.....
one of Jennifer Anistons best movies.
Appart from Aniston's botox face, there is a lot to like about this film. Mainly thanks to Jason Bateman's presence. He is a very talented actor who continuously manages to impress me. He seems to have an ability to make his characters real and completely believable.
I really wanted to like this film but didn't. It was quite dull and predictable.
AH IT WAS OK, IREALLY LIKED THE LITTLE BOY, HE WAS SO CUTE.
Yawn, One or two funny bits but that was it. Very slow and far to predictable.
Was predictable but still enjoyed the characters.
Nowhere near as funny as the trailer would like you to believe, but a touching film, albeit it with a predictable ending. Jason Bateman plays well against a standout child star in the makiing.
Typical story line of boy and girl that end up together after everything
great movie lots of laughs
Wasnt expecting much, but pretty good for a Jennifer Anistin movie, funny and worth watching
This movie is ok but just doesn't hit all the requirements to be a great romcom. If it weren't for the little boy being an amazing actor and so damn cute I wouldn't have gotten past the first 30 minutes.
started off slow, but a fairly decent movie...
I would have liked this movie a whole lot more if I wasn't distracted by the over piercing colour of Bright blue contacts that the cast seemed to be wearing.I'ts a simple plot and a romantic story with not too much comedy but it does have some good moments....contacts are great for sci-fi and vampire movies but in a romantic comedy I want to see real people and I wasn't able to see any reality here..shame
I really enjoyed this movie. Its a nice feel good romantic comedy with a happy ending. I enjoy watching most of Jennifer Aniston's movies and this is a good one. The little actor that played Sebastian is absolutely adorable. So Cute!
A nice pleasant, easy watch movie with a modern storyline. Jennifer Aniston is always good in these romantic comedy and it works well with Jason Bateman opposite, not a lot of over the top silly comedy just a light hearted romance between 'friends' that through a serious of misadventures turns into much more! The little boy is a sweetheart.
This movie wasn't bad. A rom com with some actual com, and a bit of thought given to developing the characters. Jason Bateman was good. Surprisingly entertaining.
