Cute movie for a lazy Sunday afternoon. Entertaining movie with a not so original plot-line (female, updated version of Big, really) but it had it's moments. Overall, an enjoyable film.
Hmmmm, I think this movie was a bit young for us, but hey, we can be any age!!
The female version of "Big" (similarly themed film from the 80s starring Tom Hanks). Fun chick flick which makes you think "What if I could go back and change the past? What would I do differently?" It's also a great film about being true to yourself and true to your (real, genuine) friends. This would be a great film to watch with girlfriends or mothers to watch with their teen daughters. I've watched it several times now and enjoy it each time I have seen it.
This is a a brilliant film for young and old, for all ages and all sexes. I got it for my daughter but we all ended up watching it (incl two sons) and it has stayed in my mind for a long time. It is funny, intelligent, and fun, without being sentimental (well, except maybe for the ending but I guess that's to be expected for a film of this genre). It's about the decisions we make, about how to lead our lives, and how those decisions can lead to a series of positive or negative events depending on whether we live as good people and not ''followers' who'd do anything to get with the 'right crowd' or to get 'advantages' at whatever the cost. It sends a positive message to tweens and teens: live your life by being a good person, following your heart, and standing up for what's right, and whether you make mistakes or not, you won't regret the way you've lived. It's a great film for those who grew up in the 80-s, too (like me), because 80s music is unbeatable and the film is full of it ... and most of all, it does a very smart job of entering the minds of young people, and never loses track of the way they think. Highly recommended!!!
Easy enterainment. Very light
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie - entertaining and amusing with a moral to the story. Jennifer Garner was great.
Funny. She has done a great job. Very humerous.
An easy movie to watch - light hearted - a good movie to have lunch over
A less enjoyable remake of the 1980s Tom Hanks movie big.
Only without the laughs and the likeable characters.
I enjoyed the light story line and comedy.
An angst-ridden teenager might really enjoy this movie for it's comparisons but might miss the message. It's a bit cutesy but an alright watch.
After seeing so many movies where true love overcomes and fiance is brutally dumped, often at the wedding ceremony ie:Four Weddings and a Funeral, The Wedding Planner, it was nice to see the moral message in this story - often happiness is as close as next-door.
For the tweenie age bracket I feel. Did a lot of fast forwarding to get to the predictable conclusion.
Not as bad as I thought it would be! In fact I'd buy it for my 10year old niece whose going on nearly 30!
Good messages, realistic dilemmas and Mark Trefullo a really nice, decent 'average'guy, waiting for 'the one' and only, ie waiting for Jennifer to 'grow up' and stop being deluded. Some people take longer than others, some never. Good family entertainment.
Was she dreaming, wasn't she dreaming, it really doesn't matter, the storyline was predictable and the acting was only just bearable. Teenage chic flick
I really enjoyed watching this movie, it was quirky, funny and the sound track was great. Worth the watch.
Very funny movie,good family fun.
Very funny movie,good family fun.
This is a chick flick, but worth watching.Jennifer Garner made a good job of being a thirteen year old.It was funny and romantic and not boring.
Slow start but enjoyed a light movie for a change
excellent!
was soo sweet
not the typical smooth ending..
i loved the moral of the story!
loved how jennifer could act this part so well! awww!!
A bit of fun with a message as well. Liked it.
Good light-hearted entertainment. Don't expect too much & you won't be too disappointed.
A light hearted view on life. Easy to watch but without depth.
Hasn't every pre-teenager dreamt of being so much older! Fun movie packed with action, drama, romance. Jen Garner played the part so well, she was such a wacko is parts. Get your girlfriends over, and have yourselves a great laugh as you remember!!!
Chick flick warning, was about what I was expecting but I still got something out of it, My Daughter and Wife enjoyed thoroughly.
A bit silly but there are some funny moments - worth watching for Mark R.
It was much better than expected -seeing as I was forced to watch it!
Good for a light hearted non-thinking fun movie!
enjoyed it.. light hearted movie. Younger girls love it.
I really enjoyed Jennifer Garner's portrayal of a 13 year old in a 30 year old's body. She is quite a clever actress.
Good for a laugh...a real chick flick...it was fun.
An Enjoyable girlie movie
A fun movie. Plot was a little over the top, but great if you're into happy endings!
A quite sweet and funny story. more entertaining than I expected.
Lighted hearted and fun movie. Worth the watch.
Not bad, amusing in parts and easy to watch.
The scene where the 30 year old woman flirts with the 10 yr old boy made me press stop and return the dvd immediately.
It's a chicks flick and definitely worth a look. I don't think i know anyone who didn't wish they were older when they were a teenager.
A girly "Big" with half the wit, half the intelligence and much, much less of the star power. Amiable enough though Ruffalo is disconcertingly bland.
This would appeal more to young people.
I love Jennifer Garner, so that made it easier to watch, but its probably best enjoyed by teenage girls rather than trying to get your husband to sit through it in its entirity.
Being 15 and wishing you were 30......and when you are 30, realising how easily you were influenced by the 'cool' people (or supposedly so. A good premise for a story, but I'm not entirely sure this film really lives up to what it can be.
Sickly-sweet American nonsense. Not for any intelligent viewer.
I enjoyed it, not too sure about my husband.
Great to see a movie that was both funny and entertaining, and clean enough for the whole family to watch. It portrayed what I think most teenage girls go through, when they wish they could be much older at some time in those years. It ended positively too which I always find good in a movie.
