Unwatchable! No stars. The sound of the Australian film industry going down the toilet. This isn't a black comedy it's life in selfish hideous ultraviolence. The moronic imbeciles that populate this film should be ignored and not glorified. Why any filmmaker would want to portray their inane antics is anyone's guess. There are so many wonderful people in Australia, tell their stories!

I'm really conflicted over this, there is so much good in this movie, great acting in particular, and I *reallly* want to like it, but it just never makes it as a black comedy. Considering one of the secrets of great comedy is... timing... and this movie was badly paced all the way through, it was, as mentioned by another reviewer, in my opinion, a complete train wreck. But oh! Such valiant attempts from the actors! Is it the direction that fails here? Genevieve Lemon is the only actor whose timing appears to conquer that of the direction, her experience shows through. Emily Barclay is outstanding in a thoroughly reprehensible role, but can't rise above the sinking ship. Michael Dorman is engaging and pretty much the only character i managed to find some empathy for (besides the baby and the victims) and the only character who gave me a single laugh, albeit at one of the sickest moments. In short, an uncomfortable and unpleasant ride from bogan to sociopath and eventually ending up in psychopath land in the burbs.

Most of us take a wide berth around a particular sub-class of Australians, the manipulative and evil type depicted in this movie, who can so easily create mayhem in suburbia.

Didn't start promisingly but improved as it went on. Basically a Poison Ivy tale set in Australia. Ok but ultimately sound and fury signifying nothing.

With ease the worst movie I have seen in the last 5 years. The back of the case claims "sexy black comedy" but it's dismally missing that vital ingredient: being funny! The lead actress was convincing, but that's about the only positive thing it has going for it. The rest was such mindless, grotesque drivel, watching ACA and Today Tonight would be intellectual stimulation in the extreme. It doesn't even manage to outrage, just bore and take 90 minutes of your life away. Now violence, sadism and sex can be funny; very funny if you have a look at some Tarantino etal, but this really aims low and achieves that end perfectly. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

Yes Emily Barclay is riveting... all the actors were worth watching, and that is the only thing that saved this movie! It is an interesting story, but I was not convinced by the way it unfolded like a cheap doco... felt as though it was written for a Year 12 project.

Brilliant, left field, Aussie movie that I, and most of the population, missed when released. The performances were just great and, although most of the main characters were relpulsive creatures, you had to sit out the language and loud, atrocious, music to see how it panned out. The detective's marriage plot was not finalised to my satisfaction, though. Very, very good.

it's full of bogans - and they're an endemic part of Australian culture! Maybe I didn't like it because it is so truthfull so this scares me........production values are low probably because of a thing called BUDGET, but a good movie always starts with a thing called a script.........

Whilst remembering your watching a movie, it's frightening to think that we're currently living in Australia with a generation of "kids" just like this - couldn't give a "rats" about anybody else bar themselves - spiralling out of control, taking friends and family with them. Emily Barclay was excellent as the lead character. Wake up Australia!
