Subdivision tells the story of self-employed builder and working class hero, Digger Kelly and his knockabout son, Jack. A stalwart of the local community, Digger builds honest homes to exacting specifications, as sub- contractor for Harry McKee, a small-town developer and Digger's coaching partner on the local footy team. When south-of-the-border developers, Seabrix move into town, keen to make a killing on this under-developed piece of paradise, the future of Digger, Jack and the entire community is put at risk. Featuring some of Australia's finest acting talent including Gary Sweet, Steve Bisley, Brooke Satchwell and Bruce Spence.

Keeping some of our favourite actors in work. Meant to appeal to the local footy fan but the storyline is thin on the ground. The 'wave the magic money wand' at the end was trite. But hey...my wife and I now want to go whale watching. That was funny!

This film is so full of bad language that we only watched it for 10 minutes. I find that so many otherwise good stories are spoiled by the use of swearing and coarse language. Another disappointment.

Aussie flick that should and could have been a lot better. It had everything going for it: good actors, nice location (Hervey Bay) and a credible story. But the central story was never properly developed. Presumably, going by the title, subdivision was central to the plot, yet the role of the subdivsion in the story was confusingly presented and not adequately explained. Disappointing. Interesting only for the locations for anyone familiar with Hervey Bay.
