In Street kings, a police thriller directed by David Ayer, Keanu Reeves plays Tom Ludlow, a veteran LAPD Vice Detective. Ludlow sets out on a quest to discover the killers of his former partner, Detective Terrance Washington (Terry Crews). Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker plays Captain Wander, Ludlow's supervisor, whose duties include keeping him within the confines of the law and out of the clutches of Internal Affairs Captain Biggs (Hugh Laurie). Ludlow teams up with a young Robbery Homicide Detective (Chris Evans) to track Washington's killers through the diverse communities of Los Angeles. Their determination pays off when the two detectives track down Washington's murderers and confront them in an attempt to bring them to justice.

This was well acted Keanu Reaves was was great and the man who played is boss terific it showed how it is in the cop culture , when I watched it it made me think of what I have seen in real life so real.

This movie is a fanstic watch. If you love your hard hitting gritty cop drama then you will love this. Keanu Reeves is brilliant as a drunken grizzly killer cop just trying to do his job. I truly believe this is one of his best it really capture how good of an actor he really is.

I didn't really get this movie - ended up watching most of it on fast-forward. Two good scenes in the entire movie maybe? I like Keanu but I wouldn't recommend this.

Predictable cop corruption stuff. The writing isn't great, the suspense is non-existent (it is too predicable for that), but it is still watchable; lots of good acting performances. Hugh Laurie popping gum as the Internal affairs badass didn't work for me

liked this to see Reeves do more than the surfer guy. Good list of other actors from shows I have seen.

Surprisingly good film by Keanu. He manages to lose the surfer speak "whats up dude?" and be a credible character for once. Forrest Whitaker is the stand out of the film, with nice little cameos from 'House'.. It must be ok, as my wife didnt fall asleep during the movie, which to me is a pretty reliable indicator...

Fell asleep through it - found it rather ho-hum. Not one of Keanu's better efforts. Probably didn't do it justice but it just did not grab me.

You are drawn into a seemingly simple situation which quickly becomes complicated and interwoven. Only until almost the very end are things made clear. You are continually guessing as to what is actually going on behind the smoke screens. The end will suprise you.

Maybe, and just maybe. Dreadfully unrealistic and the most cliched dialogue ever. "He bleeds blue" and "You need me" just two examples of the garbage writing in this. Hugh Laurie doesn't work as an Internal Affairs detective either.

Interesting is the right word. I never found Reeves to be a good actor but in this flick, I found he was alright. A bit over the top in some scenes and some weak lines. Whitaker was good as always. The action was there, the plot was well twisted. I enjoyed and I think you will enjoy it as well. Definately worth a watch.

It was a great movie. I found it a bit slow at the start and didn't really recognise Keanu at first. It had a few twists and turns that kept you thinking and on your toes, to know what happens next. Good to see Hugh Laurie doing his American accent again.

Fantastic... This movie was action and drama and everything...It twists and turns but ends up in a way that you have not realised... I found myself asking but but.. at the end.. It was fantastic. I am heading to buy this one.

I saw this at the movies... It is ok, just another typical "hardcore cops" movie. I like keanu so I didn't mind but he is a bit bland at times. OK story line, pretty good action and a little twist ~ don't expect too much and then you can't be disappointed.
