I agree: so pretentious; psychologicaly not very believable plot, poor acting of some characters, overall very disappointing, I expected so much more from a combination of famous actors and famous director... I give it two stars only (and that is for the Tuscan landscape plus the background music which is nice (including Mozart and also an interesting selection of more contemporary music)). But as for all the rest: forget it!

Absolutely pathetic and meaningless. Pretentious twaddle about the "beautiful" artistic people leading the "beautiful" life in Tuscany where lasciviousness, drugs and inane conversation are held out as being something we should all admire and envy. No plot, poor characters. Forget it!

enjoyed this film. Film in style of Ozon's "Swimming pool" but with more characters.

Tuscany is a beautiful backdrop to anything, and the countryside is as much a character in this as anyone else is. The soundtrack is exquisite and possibly the highpoint of the film. The film is extraordinarily captivating for such a small story.

A great cast, but not much of a story.
