Stargate is one of my favourite movies and I watched it a few times. If you watched the series but not the movie, you are missing out on a real treat. The movie is superior to the 3 Stargate series.

For those of you who are into the TV series, please, please watch this movie and actually see what the show could be like (i.e. not the lamest thing on TV). This movie is brilliant, convincing characters and a top notch cast. Russell and Spader are very good and so is the rest of the cast. A very simple story line along the lines of a "what if it was real" atmosphere. Basically solely based on the notion that aliens helped the Egyptians in our past and that is where all the mythology comes from. Check it out.
