Pretty boring really. Not the normal Sandler movie. I think he should stick to comedies.
Excellent movie.Warm,funny,good story
Ok movie for a bit of light entertainment.
One of Adam Sandler's better movies, but some parts boring and one character particularly annoying.
This movie isn't quite sure what it's trying to be, so it takes a little too long to not get so very far. Good message didn't quite get hit home.
Unable to view-sound on DVD distorted badly with crackling sound right from the beginning
I loved this movie! About everyday hardships and life and love and the cultural aspect brings it into reality for me anyway! Adam Sandler played a less comical role but played it well.
Wasn't as funny as I thought it might be with Adam Sandler in there.
Not as good as it could have been, it was a struggle to get through this one. Adam Sandler was miscast and I usually love Tea Leoni but her character was so OTT that she was ridiculous. Together they had the worst sex scene I have ever seen.
Paz Vega, on the other hand, was great, it's just a pity she had such a stereotypical character to work with.
This movie wants to be touching and thoughtful but it doesn't quite get there.
a very enjoyable movie, very funny parts througout it, with Sam Sandler playing his part very well, shows how some family relationships have some unuasual floor in them, and how commensence can prevaile
Terrible movie. I fast forwarded the last hour looking for something of interest & I love Adam Sandler
What a surprise this was! Excellent portrayal of issues and Sandler was (thankfully) lower key than usual.
I liked it - a chick flick...
A different part played by Adam Sandler in this movie. We enjoyed the outcome.
Very good movie. Sandler plays a different role and Leoni is fantastic. Realistic story line too
I recommend it. The movie is funny + more, it'll make you think.
Adam Sandler is so good at these semi-serious roles. A very enjoyable movie.
Adam Sandler is a bit wooden however the movie was still surprisingly good. Not what we expected, better
Enjoyable. Loved the Spanish mum and daughter.
Great story.Deffinately watch this one.
A rather interesting commentary on humanbeings misunderstanding each other and not listening, only hearing, 2 quite different things. Rather humerous.
Spanglish is a movie that deals with standards of behaviour and family values. It is a lighthearted movie suitable for all the family and has a lesson for all to learn as well as being good entertainment.
A really entertaining movie which has lots going for it. Good contents and wonderful to watch.
Had a lot of deep and meaningful sides to the story, I would recommend Spanglish to anyone.
Excellent. Loved the movie
Found this an excellent story of a Mexican mum & her daughter & their experiences with an American family.
The movie was too drawn out.
Now this is really a hollywood stand-out. Explores the mother/daughter relationship and influences. Great performances (Sandler is surprising), humourous, kind and warm. And it has Paz, of whom we should see more.
Feel good movie with the moral ending left to be desired. Adam Sandler is his usual good fun making it a good family movie.
a lovely thought provoking story- with some wonderful performances. Tea Leoni was brilliant as was the young girl. Could have wrapped up a little better though.
I thought the movie was very entertaining and loved watching Adam Sandler in it.
Not your usual Adam Sandler movie, but very entertaining...totally enjoyed it.
a well told story of cultural differences and family relationships. The young lead actress is just fantastic. I was also pleasantly surprised by the non-traditionally American ending.
Apparently to Hollywood playing mood music makes cheating in exclusive relationships ok and they seem to of formed a new vision of 'what women what in a man' by plucking a dynamic actor as Sandler from comedian into a more serious parental role.
Very different than I expected, but pleasantly so. A movie about relationships.
The plot was a little weak.
Very watchable but at first I thought it would be a comedy with Adam Sandler as lead.
I loved it. Each character was very well developed.
I love this movie. Wouldn't call it a chic flick but can't quite describe it otherwise?
A fun movie highlighting the difficulties anyone sane faces integrating into American culture
I didn't mind the film in general but my main problem with it was Tea Leoni's character. She had absolutely no redeeming features and it just did not seem realistic that Adam Sandler's character would stay with her. I think if her character had something likeable about her then it would have been more acceptable, however there was just nothing nice about her. She just did not care about anyone's feelings and had not changed by the end of the film. Therefore it doesn't make sense why Adam Sandler's character would go on living like that.
I think that brought down what would have been a good film.
Not as funny as i thought it would be, but still a nice movie.
A brief but rewarding visit to Hollywood for me. There is plenty to enjoy. Great exploration of parenting, partnering, the insidious seductiveness of Anglo culture and affluence, how people find empathy or lack of it in relationships. Great performances all round, but especially from the two girls. Adam Sandler is so good in more 'serious' roles (also see 'Punch Drunk Love')
Heartwarming human story. It was nice to see Adam Sandler in a more serious role. I thought the Spanish mother in it was gorgeous
Excellent movie with Adam Sandler doing a great job. Tea Leoni was classic mole in this as well. The ending was the problem. I realise that predictable endings are getting boring, but this ending was really flat.
