Pretty boring really. Not the normal Sandler movie. I think he should stick to comedies.

One of Adam Sandler's better movies, but some parts boring and one character particularly annoying.

This movie isn't quite sure what it's trying to be, so it takes a little too long to not get so very far. Good message didn't quite get hit home.

I loved this movie! About everyday hardships and life and love and the cultural aspect brings it into reality for me anyway! Adam Sandler played a less comical role but played it well.

Not as good as it could have been, it was a struggle to get through this one. Adam Sandler was miscast and I usually love Tea Leoni but her character was so OTT that she was ridiculous. Together they had the worst sex scene I have ever seen. Paz Vega, on the other hand, was great, it's just a pity she had such a stereotypical character to work with. This movie wants to be touching and thoughtful but it doesn't quite get there.

a very enjoyable movie, very funny parts througout it, with Sam Sandler playing his part very well, shows how some family relationships have some unuasual floor in them, and how commensence can prevaile

Spanglish is a movie that deals with standards of behaviour and family values. It is a lighthearted movie suitable for all the family and has a lesson for all to learn as well as being good entertainment.

Now this is really a hollywood stand-out. Explores the mother/daughter relationship and influences. Great performances (Sandler is surprising), humourous, kind and warm. And it has Paz, of whom we should see more.

Apparently to Hollywood playing mood music makes cheating in exclusive relationships ok and they seem to of formed a new vision of 'what women what in a man' by plucking a dynamic actor as Sandler from comedian into a more serious parental role.

I didn't mind the film in general but my main problem with it was Tea Leoni's character. She had absolutely no redeeming features and it just did not seem realistic that Adam Sandler's character would stay with her. I think if her character had something likeable about her then it would have been more acceptable, however there was just nothing nice about her. She just did not care about anyone's feelings and had not changed by the end of the film. Therefore it doesn't make sense why Adam Sandler's character would go on living like that. I think that brought down what would have been a good film.

A brief but rewarding visit to Hollywood for me. There is plenty to enjoy. Great exploration of parenting, partnering, the insidious seductiveness of Anglo culture and affluence, how people find empathy or lack of it in relationships. Great performances all round, but especially from the two girls. Adam Sandler is so good in more 'serious' roles (also see 'Punch Drunk Love')

Excellent movie with Adam Sandler doing a great job. Tea Leoni was classic mole in this as well. The ending was the problem. I realise that predictable endings are getting boring, but this ending was really flat.
