The Sorcerer and the White Snake (2011)

The subtitles are so small I couldn't read them. Gave up on watching it after 20 minutes.

This film was very entertaining with fantastic visual effects. To describe it, it was along the lines of an Alice in Wonderland type of film.

This movie was not worth watching, Asia meets CGI big-time and gets it so wrong. Not much good to say about it, at all.

I did quite like this one. The animated animals tend to swing the feel of the movie into 'sub-teen' territory at times, but I didnt see it as a big negative. I didnt see anything as a big negative for this one: effects were ok (not bad), acting was ok, the feel of the movie was ok. Jet Li is about as heavy as anything gets (and he's not really that heavy). Getting a taste of Chinese Amitaba Buddhism was actually kind of pretty good - I have not seen so many Chinese Buddhist (explicit) tales on the big screen (not since Monkey on the small screen or Forbidden Kingdom of late) and while this one was light-weight I thought it worked. 3.5/5 from me.

excellent - very interesting effects and plot

Great movie. But only if you can speak Chinese. The subtitles were too small and merged with the background making them impossible to read most of the time. Why do they waste a good movie with unreadable subtitles

Subs are shoking, movie is less than ordinary at best!

its not a bad movie but it has subtitles only, so it was hard to watch and try and read to the same time

impossible to read most subtitles and terrible acting ... i think this movie is made for 12 year old girls

This is not in english. Waste of time choosing it. Could not find anywhere where it stated this.

Chinese - ummm. Subtitles - ummm. Strange story but I guess most fantasy stories are. Very good special effects/computerisation/animation. I would watch it again & allow my kids to watch it.

Same issue as everyone else with the subtitles. Very poorly acted, hardly any Kung-Fu action. Very disappointing.

Have to agree with Sqigls, managed 5 minutes before being frustrated with the subtitles, if I'd known I had to read the movie I wouldn't have gotten it

If you want a poorly acted Chinese movie with unreadable subtitles, then this is the film for you!

love this genre, totally imaginative, full of 'japanese action' sorcery and magical adventure!? good cgi topped with good storyline makes for good entertainment. A very good watch, recomended
