This is a B grade cop drama with a disjointed storyline that leaves a few questions unanswered. Channing Tatum has not yet made it as an actor, mumbles & adds no depth to his character. The great Al Pacino and quality actor Ray Liotta just go through the motions. The story jumps from past to present and is OK but confusing sometimes. What impressed me the most and saves the movie was the location & scenery, obviously based on some truth of those times. Such a realistic portrayal of the housing "projects" in New York in the 1980's. What filth & squaller those actual people lived in, exhibiting also animal survival traits, junkies everywhere, hard to fathom when America is one of the richest countries in the world. Movie held my interest and is a reasonable night's viewing.

No car chases, no shoot-outs, just a good solid cop drama.

Hadn't heard much about this movie but thoroughly enjoyed it. Good story line with suspense and intrigue along the way.

I could not get into this movie which was hard to follow and unintersting. I gave up after 20 minutes

Drab, depressing and almost a zero storyline. Main character mumbled his way through, almost incoherent at times. Give it a big miss.

I guess most people wouldn't enjoy this movie because it had the feel of of a docco about the darker side of New York life. I liked this movie because it gave a glimpse into the darker side. More people should watch this movie so they can appreciate their own life more rather than looking for Just Entertainment in the movies they watch

A bit too dark. I like Channing Tatum, but there wasn't much real depth in his character. Did enjoy it, I think!!!

Can't really recommend this one. Bad sound and mumbling by lead make understanding a lot of the dialogue very hard. There is a story, of sorts, in here, but the guts of it is missing, i.e. how the main character got from A to B. You are supposed to feel empathy for the main character but I can't say I really did. The main part of the film that stays with me is the amazing bird’s eye photos of the project flats. They look surreal from the air.

Got a bit lost in the plot, watched it a second time and it was just as confusing, only watch if you intend on seeing it through with no distractions lol
