Once a mercenary of Queen Elizabeth I fighting Spaniards in Africa, Solomon Kane meets the Devil's Reaper and discovers he's bound for hell! Barely escaping he renounces violence to atone for his past sins, seeking out redemption in a life of peace. That is until the followers of priest turned sorcerer Malachi kidnap a Puritan girl and brutally slaughter her family before his eyes. Solomon must again return to his violent ways to rescue her! He embarks on an epic quest returning to his birthplace and facing his older brother. Who, he left disfigured and for dead but now serves as a merciless enforcer for Malachi.

Solomon Kane was a tale of a brother unseeding his evil brother. I thought it was more suited to the teenager market.

Quite a good movie. I was a little surprised as I didn't think it would be any good at all. Was much better than watching the crap that was on the tele.

ultimately not the best movie i have seen with witches, the devil and other demonic beings but still a good movie to watch. plenty of gore which is always good.
