Jack Barrett is the type of guy no one calls Jack. He works for a group of businessmen known as "The Gentlemen" who operate within the fertile realm of the Sydney Underworld. Standover tactics, prostitution, illegal gambling, creative importation you name it, "The Gentlemen" are into it. And Barrett enforces it for them. Old school muscle for hire. Now 53 years old, he's tired of having to throw away perfectly good suits because you can't dry-clean the blood off. No surprise that when he shuts his eyes at night, all he sees is a small fishing village, a run-about and a long line. To get there, he needs to get out.

Great story, great acting. Friels is understatedly brilliant, nice ending!

Always enjoy a good Aussie film and if it's got Colin Friels in it even better! Totally unexpected ending though, but a good one considering the two characters involved.

Best 'tough guy' movie made in Oz for a long time. Lovely jazz sound track and top location work around Sydney. Strong story about a hit man tring to retire from the mob with a good twist at the end. Well done to all concerned with this fine film.

Totally agree with Lynnett. Frustrated with the potential of the Aussie movie that just didn't happen

A very good australian movie - Colin Friels good as always. Some of the others could be accused of overacting, however. Quite violent in places, and not a family show. Good twist at the end.

Despite everyone's best efforts this is a tiresome retread of every cop/detective show you have ever seen. How did this get greenlit?

Great film with an intriguing story. It's fabulous to see Sydney so lovingly represented on-screen.

Aiming to be a stylish thriller, but doesn't pull it off. Too many cliches.
