The stage is set for a separate climax...and with a blistering pace and non-stop martial arts sequences, So Close is a breath-taking, action-packed hit that'll thrill fans of films like Charlie's Angels.

Quite fun but uneven in tone. There are exciting action sequences, interspersed with a romance plot that goes nowhere, mawkish dialogue, and a supposedly intelligent main character who spends most of the movie carrying the idiot-ball to keep the weak story moving.

I recall watching this movie so many years ago now and I still get goose bumps watching this! Its all about the action and the fantasy behind the martial arts and its creativity. A male lead in an action movie is always going to be very macho and butch, while a female lead in an action movie (and in this case, 3!!!) turns becomes sexy and in your face :-) All time fav action movie of mine which is best watched reading the english subtitles rather than the english voice overs.

What a fun movie! Non-stop action, feats of supernatural and gravity-defying athleticism, hosts of satisfyingly evil baddies who were bumped off in equally satisfying profusion by our gorgeous and feisty female leads, lots of hi-tech computer wizardry - even a hint of unrequited lesbian lust. This film had everything. So what if the situations were unbelievable and the plot downright silly? This was sheer unadulterated entertainment and kept me glued to the screen well into the small hours . Four stars plus!

If you can get past the lame storyline you just may be able to watch this till the end. The end fight sequences are extremely clever and good to watch. The acting wasn't terrific but as others have said, this is the Asian "charlies angels" and the acting wasn't too flash in the US version either!

Super-slick, trashy fun. And better than CHARLIE'S ANGELS in every conceivable way.

I loved the feminine slant on hitech - stilleto heels that lock into the ceiling - COOL! :) It's a far-fetched plot as so many of this genre are but WHO THE HELL CARES!!!!! :) It was fun, action packed, cool and hot all at the same time! The women AND men were hot(well, only the bf really, but he was fine!)and I don't really know what more you'd be asking for. I thought the relationship between the sister and the cop was an excellent touch, especially the scene in the music store! Also some wonderful classic moments - overhead shots of rain pelting down, flying bamboo, swords *sigh* :) The way to ANY girl's heart!:)

Rather good. I wish I had known it did not have an English soundtrack, but it was good fun and well made. The review calls it 'sexy', but it was not really, but the three female stars are definetely sexy in their own right.

It is filled with kung fu fighting but carries contrived plot. Wei Zhoa is one of the top actresses in China, but in this show, she does not bring out her full talents and plays second fiddler.

Less if you don't notice the women leads, but a highly polished stylish HK production reminiscent of a US production. Has a few letdowns, but overall very entertaining viewing.

Worth watching for the gorgeous Chinese women doing unbelievably cool stunts. Otherwise, a bit self conscious in terms of direction - almost looks like a really long music video clip.
