I too got this out because of the reviews, didn't like it at all, was weird in parts, overall disappointing.

Having read Callan R review (23.10.08) and Sue K (19.11.08) I keenly anticipated a DVD that would keep me engaged and enthralled with a dramatic story peformed and directed by talented people. I was not disappointed.

A bit of a boring movie even though I think the storyline is quite interesting. Perhaps with different actors it would be a bit more exciting to watch?

Surprisingly disappointed. The write up sounded good, and Kate Beckinsale is a great actress, but I have to say this movie just didn't make the cut for me.
It was weird, slow, and overall disappointing.
Would not recommend this movie.

a quirky movie , with a reasonable storyline of folks stuck in a small US town , showing the varying emotions and dramas that probably occur in those type of towns and their lifestyles . Good end of the weekend movie or a rany day at the holiday home movie . kate was great in this movie , she played all the emotions and struggles of the estranged wife with a married boyfriend in a small town ..

in a very different role.
This is the type of movie that shows human frailty and captured a family in crisis so well,raw and heart wrenching.With great script and up close camera shots that really let us in..was this released at the box office or did it go straight to dvd??had not heard of it before I read its description..dont expect action expect a quality drama.

i have no idea why this film has a 2 and a half star rating on here. This is powerful stuff. Brilliantly realized characters, stella performances. Tender, real, beautiful and tragic. Just a great film. Its film like these that stop me from losing faith in american film making. Just too bad that Gordon Green wend and followed this with pineapple express. Please David come back to us. We need you!
