Starring Sasha Grey (THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE and current porn star), SMASH CUT is the dizzying portrayal of Able Whitman, a troubled filmmaker losing his mind in an extraordinary way. After his latest “serious” film is met with gales of laughter, Able decides to drown his sorrows at a local strip club--where he meets dancer, Gigi Spot. Minutes later, he’s convinced the honey dripping sex-pot to star in his next project. Minutes after that, he’s killed her in a drunk driving accident. Needing to dispose of the body, Able stumbles upon the one place nobody would notice a corpse…spread around the set of his new horror film. When the response to this new footage is praised for its realism, the guilt ridden Able has a complete mental breakdown. Believing he has finally discovered the key to making a great horror film, the director quickly discovers that one human body doesn't yield a lot of parts, and if he wants to finish, he's going to have to keep on killing. Meanwhile, Gigi’s sister April (Sasha Grey) hires the city’s most celebrated private detective, Isaac, to investigate Gigi’s disappearance. But when the simple missing person investigation turns into a string of stomach turning murders, Isaac realizes he’s found the case of a lifetime. With Beaumonde hot on his heels, his sanity unspooling and his collaborators dropping like flies, will Able have the time, focus and resources to complete his magnum opus, or will he simply fade to black?

Usually the Underground label is always horrible films not worth the film they are printed on but Underground has finally delivered a brillant horror/comedy that pays tribute to the Godfather of gore(the director of blood feast). A miro budget director of trashy films decides to make the ultimate horror film but goes on a killing spree to collect the body parts. A sister of the leading lady looks for her missing sister whos tied up in all this. The acting by professional past horror and exploitation stars and directors is over the top but it plays in a comic book style so its easier to swallow then most. The direction is playful parodying the horror scene but also sets the tone for a great horror film as well. The effects are cheap looking but the film has impressive kills and an eye removal scene that has to be seen to be belived(excuse the pun). The movie ends on a satifactory note as well. Any horror film where one charactor dies twice and even parodies his own death on the 2nd try by admiring how the weapon is stuck in him is def a horror/comedy worth seeing. Def recommended to horror fans.

I like the horror movie genre! But I have to say, Please if your life is worth anything do not watch/rent/buy or steal this movie. I watch the whole thing, 86 minutes I will never get back, I would of got more enjoyment from pulling 1 of my wisdom teeth out with oil covered pliers.

l am a horror fan big time and give lots of room for B grade horror because itsoften very good, but l am sad to say this on should never be rented by anyone on the planet. l got to the end hoping things would come together no such luck. Sasha gets my 1 star she was brilliant in girlfriend experience. l hope she crosses over full time because she is a diamond and wasted in other forms of film.
