Director: Tim Burton
Actors: Johnny Depp, Miranda Richardson, Christina Ricci, Casper Van Dien, Jeffrey Jones, Christopher Walken, Michael Gambon

It is the year 1799 and in the isolated hamlet of Sleepy Hollow, murder most foul has occurred. Three corpses have been found, each killed instantly, all decapitated. Visiting constable, Ichabod Crane (Johnny Depp), suspects one of the villagers is responsible but the locals believe the killer is not one of their own and most definitely not of this world... From Tim Burton, acclaimed director of "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and "Batman Returns" comes this chilling classic tale of suspense, murder and mysticism, starring Johnny Depp, Christina Ricci and Miranda Richardson.

Rather great story. comedic, creepy, romantic... Christopher Walken was fantastic and believable. I can't stand gambon so watching his head chopped off was a favourite. Ricci/ Depp relationship?? Odd screen couple still My favourite of Tim's up there of course with batman.

Certainly not one of Tim Burton's best movies, but it beats a lot of the stuff he's done lately away. Gotta love Christopher Walken's performance where all he does is yell "NYARR!!" and Johnny Depp is great as usual. No Edward Scissorhands, Batman or even Beetlejuice, but a nice Burton movie to say the least.

The movie starts off well but eventually delves too much into mysticism and witchcraft ocassionally drifting off with a cliched romantic storyline.

I watched this with my mom the first time, and every time someone lost a head she'd crack a joke; such as "that's nothing to lose your head over" -_- It's a great watch. I enjoyed it. Tim Burton, once again, used that twisted imagination of his and put an interesting, creepy and weird twist on this one.

i can't normally watch horror but i liked this movie - the director Tim Burton didn't take the topic too seriously so i didn't have to either. I really enjoyed it. Glorious setting and Johnny Depp was great (his cheekbones looked a bit odd though).

I've always loved Tim Burton's films and this I feel is one of his best. Beautiful to watch with just the right amount of horror. Johhny Depp is wonderful. Very few men can faint with such conviction! The special features are definitely worth a watch too.

I really enjoyed this movie. The movie was well cast, well performed, and the use of color to set moods &; tones was great. The town of Sleepy Hollow was bleak & dark. Ichabod (Played by Johnny Depp) made me laugh, even though it was a horror movie.. For someone who is supposed to be a performer of Autopsys, he definitely does not like the sight of blood! Another Actor who played a great part in the movie was Christopher Walken (As the Headless Horseman). This man always plays a great scary character!! I could watch this over and over again (and have!) 4 Paws - Loved it!
