A story about a special summer in the lives of four lifelong friends separated for the first time. On a shopping trip, the young women find a pair of thrift-shop jeans that fits each of them perfectly and they decide to use these pants as a way of keeping in touch over the months ahead, each one wearing the jeans for a week to see what luck they bring her before sending them on to the next. Though miles apart, the four friends still experience life, love and loss together in a summer they'll never forget.

Fantastic girly flick enjoyed immensely. This is the first movie that made me want to go seek out the novel it was adapted from. It was fun, sad, romantic, scenic and delightful and I'm 'old-old' but I loved it anyway! How could anyone say they were too old for this flick? Too hurting maybe. It's a movie to learn from ~ Watch it because you CAN! Loved (and adapted) that line from the movie for this review.

I didn't make it past the opening part where one pair of jeans fitted skinny and fat girls perfectly. Complete rubbish.

Although a movie for young girls in their teens or early 20's, I enjoyed it immensely. It made me laugh and cry. Great girlie flick.

I thought this movie was really good and i enjoyed following the journeys of the four girls though very similar still very different. and i thought the cemistry of thwe actresses was very believable as girlfriends and you got a true sense of the closeness of their bond though they were apart they could be still together through the pants.

A great coming of age film. A little sad towards the end but it was part of the whole journey that the girls took towards becoming more adult.

A truly wonderful expression of teenage thoughts and expectations. The storyline made you feel with the youngsters and you wanted to keep watching to see how they would handle the next situations. A good watch for young teenagers.

I think even the harshest critic would be hardpressed to find fault with this one... well ok, Terminator fans this one is probably not for you. This is a wonderful movie & perfectly cast, a real charmer, funny, feel good, sentimental (but not too heavy on the syrup) and with a good dramatic plot. Widely appealing (ie) not just for teenage girls.
