A bit silly, but it made me laugh!
Its way better than series 10-20 but not as good as the series 1-10. but it feels like the writers were trying to emulate the comedy of the old series
D'oh! My daughter really liked this. It bored me within 30 mins (no I'm not a fan of the show). Fortunately she thinks the characters are funny and all the adult/suss content goes over her head. Yes, she walks around the house saying "spiderpig, spiderpig...."
Cool movie. Haven't seen the Simpsons in a while, but they have not changed either. Brilliant comedy!
Kids loved it, but I'm not a big Simpsons fan
Really toned down for mainstream cinema audience.
It's the Simpsons but longer.
It's the Simpsons but longer.
i thourght the tv show is better actually, story line let it down i think 80 mins is too much for the simpsons
It was great watching the Simpsons in widescreen and I laughed throughout. Better than I expected as it was easily on par with the TV show. If you enjoy the TV version you'll love this.
If you've seen the Simpson's on TV then I don't need to say anymore about this.
Was always going to struggle against the hype- that said this is a fair foray away from television, got to give it credit for being more than a series of episodes loosely tied together.
This is an O.K. movie. The storyline didn't appeal to me, even though it was well planned by the writers.
Average but then I am not really a fan. My son loves them but thought this was ordinary. I actually thought it was better than he did
DOH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great for Simpson's fans, it's been a long time coming.
Kids loved it...could here them laughing from the other room : )
I'm also a huge fan and found it very entertaining.
This movie was a slap in the face to Simpsons fans, After 18 years, the best idea they could come up with is a giant dome placed over Springfield, so the Simpsons move to Alaska? Really? After 18 years thats the best they could come up with? Pathetic. Horrible. Lame.
It wasn't as good as i expected it to be, but it was still a good movie.
Great fun. It appealed to both the die-hard Simpsons fans and their parents. We all laughed all the way through - each time we watched it.
Most people could see a part of themselves in this movie but would not admit to it. Very funny. My youngest loved Homer blowing on the pigs belly.
Was pleasantly surprised at the movie - was quite entertaining, enjoyed more than the TV series
A bit dissappointing, didn't have anything a regular episode doesn't have except an hour longer. Was expecting more but still worth seeing if you're a Simpsons fan.
I am not a great Simpsons fan but enjoyed the movie very much.
As someone who had never seen The Simpsons on TV, this movie promised an easy way to see what I’d missed. If the movie is any guide, the answer is nothing. It was a waste of time, mildly amusing at best, idiotic the rest of the time.
I find the series more entertaining
Hilarious.great for the family
"aaaaaaugh!" and not in a good way. It was embarrassing to sit through as they tried to create ever more absurd directions for the gags to take, even the kids started playing with LEGO while watching it...
What can you say, the Simpsons are at their best in this movie length feature film. My children loved it and are looking forward to the next installment of the simpsons on the big screen.
Not a big fan of the Simpsons and didnt rate this movie highly. Some funny moments but too few and far between
At 44 yrs of age you still cannot beat The Simpsons. A great movie. I would reccomend this to anyone who wants to relax and forget everything else.
Just what you would expect. A bumper Simpsons episode. good movie to watch with the kids. still very funny for Simpsons fans
Very funny, much better than the tv. show.
To much Simpsons is never enough.
This film won't change anyones mind about the Simpsons one way or the other, but is well made and better than most anything around.
Entertaining, but it was like a TV episode that just went too long. The Simpsons' are best in half hour hits.
A two-hour long episode of the Simpsons. Need I say more.
Pretty good.
As many reviewers have said, this is simply an extended episode. But still has plenty of good laughs.
Nothing special, just the tv show on the big screen
Funny. Like a long episode but from the early days, when it wasn't so tired. Good adult jokes hidden between the lines and on the lines. Good for all the family.
Very funny. Just like the tv series but a longer version.
My daughter loved it - It was entertaining
I thought it was good...enjoyed it
Pleasantly surprised by this fun big screen outing for the Simpsons. We are Simpsons fans but didn't make it to the cinemas to see this film. It's definitely worth a look - lots of laughs and the quality of the animation is far superior, even when watching it on your telly.
Truly hilarious. After 10 years and 160 screenplay drafts The Simpsons Movie finally arrived - and delivered. Containing classic Simpsons lines (such as Ralph Wiggum, upon seeing Bart naked: "I like men now") that will have you in stitches, and a plot that gives full credit to Homer's genius-like stupidity, this film is definitely one of the best things they've done.
It's just a long episode really. But a GOOD long episode! Plenty of brilliant jokes and classic one-liners. Really enjoyable.
alot better than i expected from the reviews from critics when it was at cinemas. good family movie.
not as good as i expected, but still worth watching
Better than I thought it was going to be. Simpsons need to call it a day soon I think.
Loved every minute. Very funny, but more like a bumper-length super-funny TV episode. Well worth a look.
There really is a spider pig. MMMMMmmm Funny!!!!!
Quite disapointing. I have been a fan (as many have) since, well forever but this movie fell short of my expectations. Not worth all the hype!!!! But still it is the simpsons so we all watch it!!!
Has its moments like all Simpson episodes do. The best part for myself was "Spider Pig" worth a watch if your a Simpson fan.
Good movie, pity the bombardment of trailers building up to the movie have showcased some of the best parts. Other than that, a good with some great daring scenes not seen in the trailers.
A very average extended Simpson's episode. A few laughs, but don't expect to see anything new, clever or particularly witty.
I had high hopes for this movie, but it seems to fall a little flat. Perhaps it centres too much on Homer and his ordinary fathering techniques. He mostly ended up just being annoying, which is a shame. His spider pig though was a bit of a chuckle.
This is like a long episode of the Simpsons. Its full of the jokes that make life worth living
It was not in the same style as the TV Show... it has an interesting political message about jerks becoming 'drunk with power' and that people do not need saving from themselves/
I was a bit disappointed not as good as i had expected. My eleven year old watched it about four times and i asked her what she thought, and she said she was glad we didnt go to see it at the cinema.
The Simpsons Movie Was Great, see it if you can.
This was worth waiting for with fresh ideas and gags. At the last 10mins of the movie, the Simpson's dog "Santa's Little Helper" barks some dialogue and if you have the English Subtitles switched on, it translates what he says. Nice touch!
It's basically a longer version of a Simpsons episode. I don't know why I should've expected anything different. Not enough classic Simpson's moments though.
I'm a big simpsons fan and truely enjoyed the movie. Just as funny as the 20 min episodes. Good plot.
Worth Watching - Better quality then the TV version. But storyline is preety much the same from the TV.
The Simpsons Movie is hilarious! Just when you thought they couldn't better what they do on the small screen, they bring out these eighty one minutes of hilarity, political incorrectness, and Homer and his "Spider Pig".
