Reasonable movie and interesting to see how the Koreans treated their "prisoners". Not quite sure whether the sub-titles were correctly interpreted in some areas, however, was still an absorbing historical lesson.

An extraordinary story told in an odd way. The initial several minutes are a confusing juxtaposition of 2 events taking place at different times that, frankly, have nothing to do with the story. There is no central character. Regardless it is a compelling tale of institutional and personal betrayal, all the more so as it is something that did occur. It is long, and frankly the first half is preamble. If it had been edited differently for foreign distribution it could have been a serious blockbuster.
