We've been expecting you. After the continuous sleep walking episodes of Sharon, the young daughter of Rose Da Silva, the decision is made to take Sharon to the place only mentioned in her restless dreams- Silent Hill. However, the road to Silent Hill is anything but easy to access, and Rose creates a high speed chase between herself and a police officer only to end in a crash for them both. When she wakes up, Sharon has disappeared and Rose is at the entrance to the deserted, dream-like town of Silent Hill. As Rose begins the search for her daughter, she does not realise the terror and mystery surrounding her. Rose is led on a blind search for her beloved daughter, finding herself getting more and more entwined into the disturbing past of Silent Hill. Starring Australian actress Radha Mitchell (Melinda and Melinda, Man on Fire, Finding Neverland) and Sean Bean (Lord of the Rings, Flight Plan), Silent Hill is based on the hugely popular trilogy of computer games by the same name.

ok I THINK THIS MOVIE WAS OK have seen worse have seen better I can follow this one not like have no story line and make no sence.

This has to be one of the worst horror movies I have seen in a long time. Would give it negative star ratings were that possible. This film is overly fixated on creating computer generated special effects at the expense of good script writing. The story is lame, implausible and characters spend most of the movie running around dark corridors calling out each others name. I can't believe that Sean Bean agreed to actually be in this movie.

Have no clue about the game but thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Didn't like the ending, There was no need for them to die as Rose did what was asked of her, they so could have lived happily ever after. This movie is more of a thriller/supernatural not really a horror. My 13yr son wanted to see zombies, no zombies here really. There was a group of "zombie" things ( looked more like mummies) in a scene with Rose & it looked like they were going to do the Michael Jackson Thriller dance. No blood, guts and gore for horror fans. Good suspense for thriller/supernatural fans.

expected better,not enough story to it,i have played the games and they freaked me out more than this pic.special effects were pretty good but like i said not enough story to it,jumped to next part too quick i thought.

Silent Hill is up there as one of the stupidest plots I've seen - from start to finnish the characters made little sense. Visuals were good, but nothing great.

Excellent. Actually had a plot that made you care (and which made sense), which is unusual in this genre.
Gore and horror factor a step up from something like House on Haunted Hill or Ghost Ship , so not recommended for 15 or under.

Silent Hill twisted minds and sent shivers down gamers' spines for most of the late ' 90's and early '00's.
Rose's doomed search is a tale of suspense that keeps you guessing then wondering what the living daylights was that.
Scariest character for me was played by Alice Krige. She best known for playing "The Borg Queen" in the Star Trek franchise: paricualrly "First Contact" and the two-part finale of "Star Trek: Voyager." Fundamentalism never was so evil. Want to know more? Queue this one anad find out.

I loved this movie. It was creepy and really delivered. I dont understand why it keeps getting underated. You do need to understand the story line though. If you dont, then it wont make much sense to you. Either way, a good, scarey horror flick..

Bizarre but very watchable. A good storyline once I fugyred what was going on. May have helped if I knew the computer game. Still not sure what happened at the end but didn't stop me from enjoying this classy horror. Worth a look.

Never played or even seen the game but the movie starts off brilliantly somewhere in the thriller/mystery genre then succumbs to the usual horror formula with weird, kooky religious fanatics thrown in for good measure and that's about the time I tuned out.

I enjoyed this movie. Great effects throughout. It was a movie that you had to sit through it and watch it all to be able to understand what was going on. The ending was a bit weird, but in a good way.
