After battling a fire-breathing dragon and the evil Lord Farquaad to win the hand of Princess Fiona, Shrek now faces his greatest challenge: the in-laws. Shrek and Princess Fiona return from their honeymoon to find an invitation to visit Fiona’s parents, the King and Queen of the Kingdom of Far, Far Away. With Donkey along for the ride, the newlyweds set off. All of the citizens of Far, Far Away turn out to greet their returning Princess, and her parents happily anticipate the homecoming of their daughter and her new Prince. But no one could have prepared them for the sight of their new son-in-law, not to mention how much their little girl had…well…changed.
Little do Shrek and Fiona know that their marriage had foiled all of her father’s plans for her future…and his own. Now the King must enlist the help of a powerful Fairy Godmother, the handsome Prince Charming and that famed ogre killer Puss in Boots to put right his version of happily ever after.

We liked this movie. It is great to watch with children and if you know anything about english nursery rhymes and stories from the brothers Grimm, as well as all the other childrens stroies, you can understand all the characters that appear in this movie.

Excellent - loved the first one and was a bit hesitant about a sequel, but we weren't disappointed. Funny, good storyline, loved the subtle adult humour too. Highly recommend. Love that cat!!!

Yep, it's for kids, but IT HAS A STORY! Unlike many movies out today that rely on special effects and "in" adult jokes that are over kids heads, this story is good. There are enough spoofs for adults to keep them amused, but they aren't so obvious that grandkids get lost and lose the plot. Good family viewing.

I'd heard and read all the hype about how terrible this movie was compared to Shrek 1. I was delighted to find that for a fairy story (which is what it is) it was thoroughly enjoyable, and poked fun at a few fairy story conventions.

A movie that you could watch over and over again and still enjoy each time. A must see for everyone; young and old! This would have to rate in my top 10 movies of all time with its creative story and scripting, clever one liners and realistic animation. The voices are perfect for each character and bring them to life. A lot of work has gone into making this film a classic to remember...
