a great laugh, well worth watching
I agree with Paula B....delicious black comedy, with Mery Streep hamming it up as Mary Fisher, Ed Begley as the cheating husband who ultimately becomes a good person. Mary Fisher also gains from the ordeals that she has to face. I saw it years ago and loved it then. My 11 year old son loved it too....Linda Hunt was wonderful, also. Very funny!
Meryl Streep was very funny in this film, I liked her facial expessions. I had to laugh eveytime Roseanne Barr said something about Mary Fisher, in her narrations during the film. I thought the things she said were very amusing. The film was funnier when it first came out in the 80's, though.
Not to be missed black comedy! Roseanne is made for this role, she plays it so well. A movie about the under dog getting revenge, and having some laughs along the way. Its not blood thirsty in any way but its a simple tale of making the best of the situation and making your cheating husband pay!
