Not just a dark movie but very very slow. By the time I reached the end I'm still not sure of what the story was really about except a snapshot of two messed up people. To give you an idea, Michael Fassbender is the star actor but only speaks about 200 words throughout the film. Instead the whole film appears to be focused on the numerous and prolonged close-ups of Fassbender's semi-regid penis. There is a lot of sex and explicit male nudity to the point of showing Fassbenders toilet habits, combine this with the lack of story or dialogue, this would have to be rated as soft porn.

I thought this movie was a waste of time. It had no real story and was a bit disturbing in parts really. Didn't enjoy this at all, can't believe I watched it through to the end.

Not an easy movie; reminds me of "Intimacy", similar subject matter, but emotionally even colder .... At one point in the movie I started to believe that incest is the subject matter of this movie. Later on it appeared that the movie is mostly about a man who is seemingly devoid of warm or romantic human emotions. He is into mechanical sex without commitments. Not a nice man, but I suppose there are millions of men like him on this planet. At least he has a job of some sort and an apartment, so can be seen as a responsible man, unlike his wayward sister. Not easy to rank this movie; not heart-warming/uplifting sort of story...I give it 3 stars (mid rank) only because I am not sure how many stars I "should " give it; I am that unsure!...

Great acting however I found this an unsatisfying watch, which had great potential but didnt quite get there. There was also plenty of graphic scenes for no good reason, like the lead urinating. In two scenes.

Interesting and intense. Even though the movie has a conclusion it is up to the viewer to fill in a few blanks left along the journey. Not recommended if you don't feel in the mood to think.
