Strong violence

Actors: Michael Wincott, Pierce Brosnan, John Robinson, Anjelica Huston, Liam Neeson, Ed Lauter, Robert Baker

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the American wild west, Seraphim Falls is a gripping, beautifully shot tale of post-Civil War vengeance starring Liam Neeson and Pierce Brosnan. The Civil War has ended, but Colonel Morsman Carver (Liam Neeson) is on one final mission: to kill Gideon (Pierce Brosnan), no matter what it takes. Launched by a gunshot and propelled by rage, the relentless pursuit takes the two men through frigid snow capped mountains and arid deserts, far from the comforts and codes of civilisation, into the bloodiest recesses of their own souls.

Not a bad movie, though quite different. Bit slow, it you like action-packed, this isn't it!

A western that was good, not the best western and had a horrible endind or just a ending that happen in every hollywood film, good cast good story about 1 man after another man for revenge. some great scenes and that guy in the horse scene was pretty cool, i wish it had one great shoot out scene it was missing that but an alright western.

westerns are my fav, and this starts out like 'jeramiah johnson' in the mountains but fizzlles out as they get down into the deasert. i liked it as i watched it, it had the chance of being a classic but it left the winning story behind, in a cabin, and it lacked closure in the end. still i enjoyed it and brosnan

Long and slow paced tale of revenge and redemption - the FFW on the remote came in handy more than once. Pierce Brosnan was great and very convincing during his wounded scenes, as to the ending-less is more. I'd give this movie a 5/10.

First hour is fine, basically a chase movie from the opening credits but it goes downhill in the last 30 mins with strange and unhelpful appearances from an water-minding Indian and a snake-oil-selling Anjelica Houston. Strange casting for a Western but Pierce and Liam enjoy their accents.

Just Brilliant. Story revolves around Hayes (Micheal Wincott), Pope, Mr. Parsons, Kid, Liam neeson 'Carver' and Brosnan"Gidian'. Themes: "What goes around comes around", "Redemption", "Revenge", "Perseverance", "in the end, Man's gotta do what a man's gotta do"

Classic western in the man against the wilderness, man against man scenario. The two excellent leads chase each other across some gorgeous scenery, with the plot gradually becoming clear. The movie i let down somewhat by a tame ending but perhaps this just emphasises the futility of vengeance.

We quite enjoyed this movie and particularly the setting. Also felt that both Pierce Brosnan and Liam Neeson were well suited to their parts. The plot - such as there was- showed the futility of hatred and anger.

Great acting, directing and scenery. Pity about the story. An allegory that did not convince.

Westerns seem to be making a comeback. I found this film as equally enjoyable as Cold Mountain and Open Range. A different kind of role for Pierce Brosnan who I thought did a very good job with it and an ending that I certainly didn't expect.

This tale of revenge and survival took us to the extremes of climate - snow to desert. The hunted - Pierce Brosnan and the Hunter - Liam Neeson were equally powerful in their roles. The ending was a surprise but it was obvious that there was not going to be a fairytale finish. Definitely worth a watch!

Somewhat reminiscent of 'The Hunting Party' with Gene Hackmann, Oliver Reed and Candice Bergen. Nice scenery, tried to be a bit metaphysical, but didn't quite succeed.

This is a very good film , a classic western not many people seem to rate. Similar to the just as good Open Range. With these 2 great actors and the fantastic scenery , you can't go wrong. The only problem with this release is it does not have the actor interviews the US release has which is a big let down.

Its worth just watching Pierce Bronsen do his acting in it. Not giving anything away but that scene where he is freezing is just amazing acting! Not fast but kept you on the edge of your seat. Good western.

Slow and a bit pointless, Pierce Brosnan's character isnt really the bad guy in the conventional sense of the word. Liam neeson's cause is slightly flawed. Nicely shot though.

A bit slow at times but still a gripping chase film. The metaphors are clear from the start but the references become more obscure later. A goodwatch for the patient
