Not great for cooking - it showed short glimpses of the meals, but didn't go into depth - eg it didn't list all the ingredients and gave only an overview of the cooking method. The regional/historical interest stories might have made up for it - but the narration was just dreadful. Uninspired and too many dips into tiring attempts at poetic prose.
