Nick Pulovski is a tough, veteran cop with a history of training new partners who end up dead -- usually, thanks to his recklessness. His most recent assignment is a cocky rookie with emotional problems, and a lot of leftover hostility from his childhood. The two team up to crack a car-stealing ring; but when Pulovski gets kidnapped by a pair of sadistic thieves, it's up to the brash rookie to save him. And this young cop won't let useless technicalities like "The Law" stand in his way.

Avoid this one like the plague. Perhaps the worst Clint Eastwood movie ever, and I am quite sure I've seen just about all of them. Sheen as always smutty and with no depth of character. A poor story, lousy script. dumb stunts, awful cast,.. and on it goes. Have the fast forward handy.

Did you really think that everything Clint ever touched was gold? If so, don't watch this formulaic disaster that miscasts just about everybody.
A 'buddy' movie that lacks any sort of chemistry between Eastwood and Sheen, my rating is bumped up slightly by the freeway smashup scene and Sonia Braga's scenes with Eastwood.
