In days of old, when men were men, men wore tights. And none wore tights mightier than Robin Hood, the 12th Century hero of Sherwood Forest. Aided by his band of merry men, Robin (Cary Elwes) of Loxley wrested power away from the evil Prince John (Richard Lewis), brought humiliation upon the despicable Sheriff of Rottingham (Roger Rees), and found the key to the fair Maid Marian's (Amy Yasbeck) heart as well as her Everlast chastity belt. Mel Brooks brings you the movie event of the year - the year of 1125 - and the 12th Century will never be the same!

My 14 yr old son was more impressed with this movie than my 11 yr old was, who commented that Spaceballs is way funnier!

Quite dated, but worth a watch. I think I would have found it funnier back in the days when I smoked dope! Still some good laughs

With Mel Brooks behind this movie, it is due to be a good comedy even if it an American trying to have fun with the British but if any one from America can do it, it's Mel Brooks. This take off from the Robin Hood story as well as poke at other movies such as 'Home Alone' is a funny set to get the funny bone tickling or maybe even some bruised ribs from the person next you from elbowing you in the ribs from all their laughing.

This is an excellent movie with heaps of subtle, and some not so subtle, one liners.

Ok for a bit of a laugh, but not one of Mel Brooks' best.
