Based on the adventure novel of the same name, and set in the nineteenth century outback, this is the story of the biggest cattle-rustling coup in Australian history and the men who planned and executed it. Having shared the proceeds, they go their separate ways. Fate, however, has other ideas and they are brought together in a violent climax.

I remember seeing this as a kid...was expecting a western and got this instead. Very dry cattle stealing story where the scenery, even in the flat colours seen here, out-acts everyone else...except some of the horses. And the plummy accents! Watch it only for a nostalgia trip as UK studio Pinewood tries to make an Aussie film. Be careful you don't dislocate your jaw yawning.

Excellent movie.Such a shame we don't see more of these movies made today.Well worth a watch!!! I reccommend this movie to all ages.

this was a very old film & whilst it may have been good 50 years ago was not worth
