Ought to be a lot better than it is, considering we have Marilyn and Mitchum plus Calhoun as a slimy no-good. Looks good, CinemaScope and colour, but cheesy rear-projection effects and lame story work against it.

This one I saw as a kid...it lost nothing in the second sitting...good too see Marilyn Monroe as she should be remembered...Mitcham was as good as he always was...loved it...twice.

Early Cinemascope adventure has lost some lustre over the years. Marilyn looks good bu her songs slow down the action. Mitchum is good as always.

Reasonably good movie. Raft in rapids scenes not badly done considering the movie was made over 50 years ago.
