Based on the hugely popular video game series, RESIDENT EVIL is an action-packed techno-thriller that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat until the very end. Sexy up-and-coming actresses Milla Jovovich The Fifth Element and Michelle Rodriguez The Fast and the Furious star as two commandos in a military task force. Their mission is to isolate a deadly virus that has wiped out the entire staff of an ultra-secret underground research centre run by the Umbrella Corporation and controlled by the Red Queen, an all-powerful supercomputer. And they only have three hours! Its a battle of good versus evil, human against computer, and the living against the Undead.

I loved these movies after hiring through quickflix I went out and purchased them so I can watch again and again. Great movies. If you like the games the movies are great.

Loved this! Best action zombie flick in a VERY long time. Kept my attention to the point I couldn't blink. Truly a classic here if only we had more films of this quality story.

Never played the video games and this has been on my queue for a while, so I can't remember why I added it in the first place. Action and suspense filled. Something about Michelle Rodriguez really annoys me - her eyes? Her expressions? Can't put my finger on it. Not sure if I'll watch the sequels, but this is not the worst movie I've seen...

Loved it especially with sexy lady Milla. She was great in this, she did not falter and her character remained strong throughout.

Ok the movie was (too) short 97 min, story line even shorter.
But the action was excellent, there were surprise twists and turns.. and Mille. I loved it! cant wait to see the sequel! But I hope the sequel can reach the 120 min mark

Basic film crammed with clichées, but hey, it wasn't a bad watch. My favorite part was the breakout of zombie dogs that went after that chick, whatever her name was. Shook my head a few times when the way they shamelessly declothed Milla...

Resident Evil is am alright video game movie. i had fun watching it doesn't really live up to the games but it is still fun to watch. the zombies are awesome and some cool death scenes like the lazer scene just awesome. the characters are not very interesting and the story isn't that great but its good to see refrences from the games. acting is alright but the zombies are awesome.

Based upon the Playstation game that has been so successful. If you have played the game and know the plot this movie is for you, for new comers it could be a little confusing. But I thought it was a great movie with a plot and even amount of gore. Great.

A very good horror film indeed. I don't play games and had no idea where it came from. All I know is that I loved it! Its was just the ticket one cold and rainy night. I also love the killer soundtrack, you cannot have a hot horror/action flick without it. Its got groovy special effects and some scary and nasty looking zombies. Simple but effective plot with a fine cast.

Should you be revisiting this film after seeing the sequel Milla Jovovich really looks far too naturally pretty so be the heroine but that fits the story line that she was yet to mutate more & become buff but until then Michelle Rodriguez gives a strong performance that distracts from the tired looking 3D animations somewhat but the DTS soundtrack really packs a keen punch.

Oh yes, I don't care what people say, whether the game is better or the movie...all I can say is that I have never played the game but the movie was great. Fast paced and although I did notice a few effects taken from movies like 'The Cube' (or was it the other way around) I found it quite enjoyable. Was this the beginning of 'Dawn of the Dead'???? Worth watching for sure!!! Bit corny in places and some effects a bit wanting but besides that, its all good.
