Not as good as Silence of the Lambs but still gripping and always great to see Edward Norton in these thriller type roles. Nutcase Ralph Fiennes is chilling but doesn't terrorize the screen like Buffalo Bill did. Still a good nights (or days) viewing.

Norton is good as Will Graham and well supported by an all star cast. Ralph Fiennes as the tooth fairy and Philip Seymour Hoffman as the obnoxious reporter Freddy Lounds steal the show though. The extra time dedicated to Hopkins Hannibal is unnecessary, except to make the most of the franchise. For some reason I prefer Brian Cox in Manhunter as Lecter. Still this is the superior of all the Hannibal Lecter films.

O.K I was apprehensive about this movie. But i thoroughly enjoyed it. Anthony Hopkins is his usual brilliant self. And Edward Norton pays a great park. The evil part played by Ralph Finnes was exceptional. Can't wait to see Hannibal Rising.

Great movie. If you enjoyed "The Silence Of The Lambs" you will enjoy this movie just as much, because they both have a similar story line. In the timeline, this movie is supposed to come before "The Silence Of The Lambs".

with out a doubt this one should have been released first, Hopkins is at his menacing best, a good cast and story-line had me rivetted all the way thru. Definitely up there with the best.

This had some awesome acting in it (Anthony Hopkins, Ralph Fiennes, Edward Norton, Harvey Keitel) and I really liked the complexity of the bad guy in this installment. To me the character was able to show much more dimension than the Buffalo Bill character of Silence of the Lambs. I enjoyed this movie.

Very involving. Like Silence Of The Lambs, there's not a lot of overt violence and gore but the forensic process is quite fascinating. Enough suspense to satisfy. Only quibble is that the villain of the piece may come across as too sympathetic! Dr Lecter is far more chilling - and he's still confined - loved his single-eye-movement analysis of the staged emergency.
